I think the initial question of how that was possible because Soriano has been out the past 8 games, but he played in the first 2 games of the past 10. So he has data. Limited data, but data none the less. Given, the sample size comes into question for consistency of data. Fontenot's OPS for his 20 ab's is obviously a stronger indicator for his performance than Soriano's OPS for his 6 ab's could more easily be a variance from the mean.
