  1. this post is asinine when juxtaposed against your others I juxtaposed some your mom's sweet asinine.
  2. Old people are useless. GO BACK TO BLEEDING MY SOCIAL SECURITY DRY, MERVIN My coworkers just asked what I was laughing about
  3. haha, I'm guess late 1500s, around Stratford-on-Avon, England
  4. I swear to God OleMiss, if thoust not change thoueth signature picture, thyest thy shall be fallen due to an attack of the heart
  5. Terribly Insightful. Reminds me of John Madden- "Well, the team that scores the most points today is going to end up winning the game."
  6. What ball....I can't see one. Does the pitcher still have to throw it where the batter dictates? And is the umpire in a big, comfy rocking chair behind home plate? I think it woulda been funny had Hudson or Z wound-up like the pitchers back then. Take a step back and throw your arms way back on either side of your body, then rock step and lift them way over your head, lean way back, and fire a spitball while hitting the spittoon can with your chaw at the same time.
  7. Someone get me some hooch at a swanky speakeasy until I get ossified and upchuck on a dame. I looked into some 20s-40s slang.
  8. he's black... black guys are not scrappy Freddie Bynum
  9. Anyone have screen shots yet of Len and Bob or the players?
  10. Any news on lineups yet? Trying to get majority of work done before the game.
  11. I hate it when he never hits homeruns and runs around first with his fist in the air
  12. I've loved how Bob has opened up this year and has become quite loose in his talking. Tons of subtle jokes, and his ability to reference online blogs and the such. I especially like it when he doesn't hesitate on-air to call Blanco by his correct name, Hank White.
  13. um...close Rammy. please return back to the box.
  14. Ha, i laughed when I saw those two posts above in a row "Don't know if I'd call it a good at-bat" "Good atbat"
  15. This series is killing my work. Sleep...didn't happen too much last night and won't again tonite. I would hate to be on east coast time for this. But, all worth it to see some more MegaTron Cubs wins
  16. Ugh, Marmol wasted energy doing that. My thoughts exactly. He should have handed the ball to Wuertz to toss to your daughter. At which point Wuertz would have tried to toss your daughter the ball a couple times but continued to miss throwing to her outside, and needed to hand the ball back to Marmol to toss.

  18. It's really no surprise that he blew the 4 run lead. He rarely pitches. Lou needs to save him for when we're up by 8 or more. That's the only time he should pitch.
  19. Unfortunately, we all finally have high expectations. We're...expecting...to win. And win well. It's not good for these situations. Nasty Kerry
  20. These bats are going to get changed quickly. Broken bat almost hit the kid from Jerry Maguire.
  21. Yet...I'm not completely convinced he won't pitch the 9th. Although as I think about it more, he probably won't. If Lou was trying to save him from pitching the 8th, he probably won't want him to pitch in the 9th. And part of Marmol's high innings total has been just his unbelievable effectiveness. He has had a similar number of appearances to other Cubs relievers (30 for Marmol, 29 for Wood, 28 for Howry, 27 for Wuertz) but Howry and Wuertz especially had some outings where they had to leave early due to ineffectiveness, and therefore don't have as many innings. It's been a tough week for resting Marmol. lots of wins (and Marmol is used a lot more in leads then trailing), lots of close games, and starters who have taxed the bullpen. I'm worried about his total workload, but I can't really point to a series of days where he has been really overworked. It's just that he is rarely underworked in any week, and therefore the innings are piling up. Carlos was getting ready to come back out on the field
