Checking in from Madison, WI.... At one of the top Sports Bars on a college town, State Street Brats, there was a good 40 or so Cubs fans that came out to watch the game (b/c not on WGN). Tons of cheering for the Cubs, tons of cheering for good 'ol Greg Maddux, great times. I've been back here for about a month now, and it's been amazing to see the immediate lack of Brewers gear people are wearing. In late August/early September, everyone was wearing Brewer hats, shirts, etc... Now, nowhere. It's awesome. And, luckily for us, one of the bartenders was a Cubs fan too. $1 Patron shots anyone? Anyways, it's been great this past month. Wisconsin is slowly turning back into Wrigley North, and the Cubs fans have driven back the bandwagon Brewer fans, obvious with their recently purchased Brewer clothing. Let's. Go. Cubs. -

Ok, and the source is? A friend with office connections. Got a phone call out of the blue. Not normal talk, straight to the point. Wouldn't joke of the matter. I'm assuming Hendry will pull the usual and wait to announce it on air tomorrow for the game. That's all I got. Just trying to keep the information flowing to the fans.

I've heard whispers that the Cubs signed Z tonite for 5/$90. Source is pretty legit. Not 100%, but if it's done, heard here first. If not, don't take my dignity, as has been done with other people who posted speculative information that ended up false.
