  1. um without him the cubs be without all that sweet darvish production
  2. so that one game where it was tied in like the 6th inning wasn’t a spot to use cishek but this is
  3. The Dodgers have stranded more baserunners than the Cubs THEY DON'T DESERVE TO WIN EITHER THE GODS ARE FAIR AND JUST but they used their closer in the 9th inning so they get to win
  4. I can’t believe how much I hate the manager that managed the cubs World Series winner
  5. Someone from the “late inning circle of trust” should have been used with two on, no out in the 6th inning if 0-0 game. That’s the problem. They need to get at least 3 more innings from the pen tonight and they play 14 consecutive days afterwards. If there’s a time to use someone like Farrell/Bass it’s in a situation against a slew of non-elite RH bats like that. Bass gave up 2 routine ground balls, a line drive, and a K, would you really expect Cishek to do that much better than that? I don’t know if Ozuna is “elite,” but he’s their best hitter and if you’re saving your good pitchers for “elite” opposing batters I guess you won’t use any good relievers against the cardinals. and if you want to give bass credit for inducing an Ozuna routine grounder that found a hole, I guess you have to hold the Molina DP against him cuz it was smoked.
  6. Literally anyone but Anthony horsefeathering Bass is defensible. Yes im sure Farrell(the other RH outside the late inning circle of trust) would’ve been greeted with cheers. Someone from the “late inning circle of trust” should have been used with two on, no out in the 6th inning if 0-0 game. That’s the problem.
  7. he’s pitched one (1) inning since June 9
  8. horsefeathers maddon gets off on this smartest guy in the room bit.
  9. can’t horsefeathering believe Anthony bass is giving up rockets
  10. most cishek-iest spot of all time. you suck maddon.
  11. morrow had two days off, better have him throw 28 pitches today
  12. and this will lead to one game in Milwaukee being one of maddon’s patented oopsie daisy 3 of our relievers are unavailable today games.
  13. He’s been trash vs RHP overall and has been extra trashy lately .870 OPS vs rhp
  14. this horsefeathers loves letting relief pitchers hit
  15. maddon has done some weird horsefeathers lately
  16. oh good Baez gets in so smoltz can bitch about him
  17. damn I kinda wanted the pinch hitter batting for a reliever to win it
  18. huh. Let’s see if the rarely used and controversial “pinch hit for a relief pitcher when you have a chance to win the game” strategy pays off for the Mets.
  19. if you truly have FIVE unavailable relievers going into a game you need to make a horsefeathering roster move
  20. really went into this game with FIVE unavailable relievers?
