what he's been awful. The results have been awful, the approach and the working of counts has been quite good. He has as many walks as Ks and is walking and K’ing at rates in the teens. i mean you are really trying to convince yourself there's something there...

Other than KB he’s maybe had the best plate appearances overall this year in terms of discipline and working counts. The results will come. what he's been awful.

IDK. It's almost like they faced 4 starts in 7 games against guys who will be top 3 in the Cy Young this year. I mean fine but that's not really a good "excuse." for one, josh fields isn't winning the cy young and neither is brandon morrow. also sale and kluber and severino and Hendricks and Lester and greinke and ray and berrios have all had mediocre to horrendous outings. I mean you're gonna face good pitching. the fact that the cubs are sucking against good pitching doesn't mean they're not sucking.

it looks like zobrist's skeleton is going to collapse every time he moves. he looked he was going to fall down on every routine fly ball he caught in the first two games.

pretty pointless. given all the nats' lefties out of the pen, he's never going to get a high leverage ph appearance vs a rhp (unless it's against scherzer or strasburg i guess).

I'm not freaking out or anything but the Cubs have had a lot more than 1 bad inning. they have 10 hits in two games. The Nationals have 8, it's been a pitcher's zone, that's why there's been such smooth sailing on the mound. Losing a Gio start would be a bummer, but there's no harbingers of doom to take from this. dude, obv splitting in wash is fine. but splitting after winning game one and being up 3-1 with 6 outs to go sucks. not that hard to comprehend.
