agreed. I wish PJ was touring on their own. I can't afford the Joint bill with Tom Petty. the whole tour isn't w/ tom petty. i can't remember who is opening in chicago, but it's not him. and since i've been a fan club member since the late 90's, i'm fittin' to have some great seats. :D I should have clarified. I live up in Minneapolis now, and that's a joint bill. I really wanted to go see em at Alpine again. They've played some great and memorable shows there - Ice Bowl, the show in 2003... i was thinking about going to xcel, but it is pretty expensive. i'm kinda disappointed they're not doing a wider tour. last time they even came to council bluffs, iowa. des moines just got a new fancy arena, so i was hoping for a local show. i saw them four (?) times on their last tour. Well if you come up, I'll buy you a beer before the show. That will be after I go to all 3 Twins-Cubs losses. deal. my brother's going, but if he can't find anyone to take his other fan club seat, i may go.

having eddie in the booth was the highlight of the cubs season so far.

and hits .214. rather have a good defensive catcher than a ok defensive catcher with some offense. 'some' offense? he's arguably the best offensive catcher in the NL. it wouldn't matter if matheny could save a base every once in a while defensively because these team would never score if you replaced barrett w/ matheny.

good outing by hill today. could stand to get the walks down, but three of them were to giles, who seems to have the most discriminating eye of all time. williamson looks awful.

What do you think of the new album? i like it alot. i am sick of all this 'pearl jam's back' talk because i like binaural and riot act. that being said, i like this album better than both of those. i'm seeing them wednesday at the united center. hey, an extra base hit! he should probably rest for the next four games. (Won't sidetrack the thread on this) but I think that's mainly casual fans that are saying "PJ is back". Hardcore fans have always like binaural and riot act. agreed. hill w/ the hardest hit ball all day?

he's only at 63 pitches. and he's not the first guy to walk brian giles and mike piazza. he's been tough enough to hit that the walks haven't hurt him. I think you should just go ahead and change your name from abuck to manloveforhill if it's not already taken. :lol: was what i said not accurate?
