    bradley made it to second safely, right? valverde takes forever to get to home plate. i don't have a problem sending the runner there. i also can't believe people were flipping out about sending lee with ramirez at the plate and chris sampson on the mound. that's a no brainer. and yeah, the squeeze is a stupid, stupid play.

    if cecil cooper isn't going to let the NL's leading basestealer steal in the 13th inning of a 1-1 game, i think it's safe to say he wouldn't be sending people willy nilly all game long against fox.

    Agreed. Let him catch until he gives you overwhelming reasons why he shouldn't. He already has. no he hasn't. i'm not saying start him every day, but he could catch the day game after a night game and i'd be fine with it.

    the shittiness of this season has been capped off by brett anderson's koufax-esque resurgance since i released him. it's amazing i'm within shouting distance of the playoffs considering all the flops i have coupled with robert's good fortunes. oh well, if nothing else soriano and rollins have boosted their trade value over the past week or so in case i'm hopelessly out of it by 7/31.
