  2. KR has bailey on the bench because he didn't have him in his lineup by the deadline on 3/28, so he can't use him this week. i have no problem with this, obviously.
  3. yeah, you can have an illegal bench if you need to do so in order to get your seven starts.
  4. No, I don't agree with that at all. Think Corce was possibly one year away from being Shaka Smart. He would have returned everyone off of his 29 win team and would have probably made another tournament run. Furthermore he recruited every single guy on his deep run team. Something that neither Stevens or Smart can say about their teams. But hey, I'm just a psycho, not a super genius like yourself. it doesn't take a genius to know the illinois job is not a top 10 in the nation job.
  5. so you agree that if illinois was a top 10 job in the nation, they wouldn't have just hired jim croce. cool.
  6. yeah, i can't believe bill self didn't come out and say the illinois job was a rotten piece of [expletive] job that would ruin your career. So to be clear, you're still not wrong? Phew, for a second there I thought you might have been wrong. wrong about what? Illinois being a great job, or is everyone else who is paid to talk about this sort of thing wrong? i never said it was a terrible job, psycho. but obviously you overrate just how good it is. if it was truly a top 10 in the nation job, the guy from ohio wouldn't be their coach. it's that simple.

  8. it's amazing what a 6-12 big 10 season and getting rejected by coaches from the horizon league and the colonial league does NOT do to the ego these days.
  9. yeah, i can't believe bill self didn't come out and say the illinois job was a rotten piece of [expletive] job that would ruin your career.
  10. looks like i'm on deck. give me andrelton simmons (SS, atl) if don doesn't take him, tyrell jenkins (P, stl) if he does.
  11. i'll draft again.
  12. Lol, yep. Man we should prolly just fold up. No one ever turns down good jobs in college sports. Again your grasp of college basketball is second to none. I hope you enjoyed your season of kind of following it, you know now that your one player is going pro. oh, don't worry, i'm following college basketball (or at least these threads) big time from now on. your spastic temper tantrums are too great to miss out on.
  13. LOL I'm stretching a bit lol. Although I don't get what those two are waiting for? maybe, just maybe, you're overestimating how glorious the illinois job is. Yeah, no one thinks the Illinois' job is any good. You're right. no, no, no, no, you're right. it's the best job in america. that's why two people turned them down and they hired some guy who barely has a winning record in the MAC. i mean, how this whole thing played out clearly proves you have accurately estimated how great the job is and how i am wrong. the facts speak for themselves.
  14. LOL I'm stretching a bit lol. Although I don't get what those two are waiting for? maybe, just maybe, you're overestimating how glorious the illinois job is. They're at VCU and Butler. exactly.

  16. that's how i understand it. obviously the best thing to do is do away with the prospect draft or just hold a prospect draft in june after the real draft.
  17. smart and stevens were too big of pussies to move. little babies.
  18. yes. unless, of course, the player is actually sent back down to the minors. if brown comes up and gets 200 ab's, he cannot be kept in your minor leagues. however, if he sucks (likely) and is sent back down after 220 ab's, you can put him back in your minors.
  19. it's either the rule or it's not. we either have rules or we don't. i was in favor of throwing out all these stupid, needlessly complicated daily roster change rules, but nobody else was. this is why we get into arguments all the time. the rule CANNOT be "rosters MUST be legal by 3/28...well, i mean, it's just a couple games in japan, no big deal." THAT'S NOT A RULE. we can't just arbitrarily follow some rules and not others. i think it's pretty obvious why this strategy causes problems. and, for the record, i've NEVER EVER EVER "complained" or got into arguments in ANY other league i've ever been in. agree completely.
  20. you can keep him in the minors until he reaches 200 major league ab's. no.
  21. by the way, the league wouldn't be so dramatic if a) people followed the rules and/or b) we didn't have needlessly complicated rules. don't blame the "drama" on the people who are like "hey, pretty sure eight man benches aren't allowed."
  22. and in my matchup, roadster had an oakland reliever in his lineup that he dropped after the game. that obv would have given him an advantage had the guy pitched. and, like GR said, keeping 8 guys on your bench prevents other teams from picking those guys up. if you start a thread titled "LEGAL ROSTERS BY 3/28," there absolutely has to be some type of penalty for not abiding by the rule. He scored zero points where is the advantage. If he scored a point then deduct it but I should not get penalized for the points gained by Hernandez, obviously nobody on your bench will score you points. that doesn't mean that having a seven man bench isn't an "advantage." the rule is rosters had to be legal before today. the most obvious penalty for failing to abide by this rule is to not get any points for a day your roster was illegal. i don't think that's overly harsh.
  23. agreed. 4 starts it is.

  25. here's how i think the various cluster fucks should be handled. 1) teams with illegal rosters don't get points scored from today's game and will continue to not get any points as long as their rosters remain illegal. 2) mooch has to drop the prospects he picked up, as the prospect draft was still going on. 3) mercy kill the prospect draft after round 3, then a free agent free for all. if a guy was SOOOOO important to you, you should have taken him in the first 3 rounds. 4) you get 6 hours to pick in the prospect draft, then you get skipped. 5) if you pick someone who has already been picked in the prospect draft, a) you're a dum dum b) the draft continues as though you had made a legit pick c) if you discover you flubbed up, you can pick at that point, obviously choosing from whatever's left when you figure out you're a dum dum.
