Maybe I'm skeptical/pessimistic, but I'd like to see Rusin there the full year to make sure he's at the appropriate level. From college to a few games in Boise, to Daytona, I want to believe, but I'd like to see a good full season, let him open in Tenn next year, and maybe promote him then, mid season, if needed to AAA. I know that's somewhat a double standard compared to McNutt, but I am wrong in assuming that the talent jump from low-A to high-A, is much smaller than high-A to AA? But Dolis vs. Archer? You could argue either way, I suppose. The general wisdom is that the jump from A+ to AA is the biggest one in the minors. I have always thought and heard that as well. But according to Daytona Cubs manager Buddy Bailey, he believes the biggest jump may be from Low-A to High-A. Take it for what it's worth. He has managed at about every minor league level.
