  1. 2 instead of 1, but whose counting? i guess i should be concerned your evaluations and predictions are always so spot on Thats only because Kosuke is a good baseball player where as Soriano is not. I know, right. I was the only person around here unmercifully bashing Soriano at the time that post was made. If I wanted to dig around old game threads for such things, Im sure I can find 1 or 2 worse Soriano posts.
  2. Did he do it again? I only got to watch the last couple of innings. The inning before the quasi-melt down But he successfully broke the bat? Not sure, Id actually just turned on the radio after the fact and Pat and Ron were talking about it.
  3. On a positive note, the Rays have tied the Cards. I think ints safe to say that the clocks struck midnight and LaRussas golden carriage has turned back into a crappy baseball team.
  4. If Soto's foot doesn't catch Paulino's? If Soto's passed ball doesnt lead to a run? (I'm not trying to pick on Soto, I swear) If our best starter pitched like an ace? If our best reliever pitched like the shutdown pitcher he is? There are a lot of what ifs. It's really not a big deal. Teams lose games all the time. This particular loss we just happened to have multiple failures from our normally reliable players. then we might possibly have another notch in the win column and win the division by 9 games instead of 8 or whatever 2 instead of 1, but whose counting?
  5. The scary thing is Wuertz will be unavilable, Marmol and Lieber uncertain, so the first lines of defense from the pen will be Fox and Howry. Did Neal Cotts hit on Lous daughter or something?
  6. Did he do it again? I only got to watch the last couple of innings. The inning before the quasi-melt down
  7. Now we can just play the what if game: What if Z hadnt tried to break the bat over his knee like a 5 year old? What if Jim Edmonds batted for Reed Johnson? What if Nate McClouth want on performance enhancing subtances?
  8. Harry Carey used to make that kind of call for a pop up to the short stop.
  9. OK, I dont hate him, but he needs to either sit a game or be moved down the lineup
  10. I never thought Id say this, but I HATE Derrek Lee.
  11. there was a time when this is the guy wed want at the plate here.
  12. Um .375 BA for lefties, .108 for righties. No Edmonds?
  13. hopefully tomorrow's result is the same as the "automatic loss" to jake peavy Marquis wasnt pitching.
  14. Another batch of goose eggs by the heart of our lineup.
  15. Good job by Liebs, but he did give up home runs to Barry Larkin, Eric Davis, and Joe Morgan on the way to the dugout. Sorry, I couldnt resist.
  16. I wonder if Lee keeps struggling thorigh the rest of this series if Lou will give Hoff a start.
  17. When did D-Lee become the achilles heel of this team?
  18. what are they feeding this maniac? hes like tied D-Lees totals in a 2 week stretch.
  19. Glendon has signed a minor league deal with the Rockies. Glendon+Coors Field=bad news
  20. Yes. The Cubs didn't know who they were drafting until after the agreement was made with the Reds. Still not quite sure why we went out of our way to help a rival, but whatever. Did we even get anything in return?
