When the Cubs are on, they're on, but when there not, I cant think of another team in the NL that can collapse like they can.

I wouldnt sit him, but then again, he'l be available to pinch if needed. Also, it might give Lou a chance to tweak the lineup a bit. I dont think that Hoff will be put in the 3 spot, so Soriano Fukudome Soto Ramirez DeRosa Theriot Hoff Johnson Gallagher Id be interested to see what Soto can do sandwiched between Fuku and Ramirez. Still It might make more sense to start Lee today and then sit him Friday if neccessary vs. the slightly weaker Pirates, especially if we have Z on the mound. -
And Sorianos approach will be swing and a miss, foul back, swing and a miss.

I dont so much feel optimistic about Gallaghers start as I do that we can tatoo Chacon and the Astros middle relievers for double digits. Even if the Cubs do drop another one, the weekend series with the Pirates should ensure that things dont get out of control.

Whatevr Ascanio ends up doing, I have a feeling that Fox' stint on the 15 day DL will be similar to Wade Millers. -
Thats usually a pretty safe assumption anytime someone plays the Padres. Anyway, last nights loss was acceptable, the Cubs arent the only team whose ever had some low-mid level pitcher who they cant figure out. That bieng said, lets not start another one of whatever that was a few weeks ago. This guys another classic journeyman. Lets give him his first decision and make it a big fat L.

KC Johnson was suggesting that they package it up with Gooden and trade it for a Baron Davis or someone similar. No better way to build a team than trading away a potential star for the next decade for a guy who cant stay healthy. -
