  1. I'm thinking Hill + Pie + Cedeno + Marmol. Seriously. He's making no money and they just gave up Edinson Volquez for him and he's pretty much putting up MVP numbers. Between Hill, Pi, Cedeno, and Marmol, 1 of the 4 is absolutely untouchable. Go on, guess which. As for Hamilton, Im sure hes aquireable. I know hes making like league minimum, but with a team like the Rangers, who are in a constant rebuilding phase, theyd always be willing to work something out. It would cost us, but its not out of the question. Teams rebuild with cheap productivity. Hamilton IS cheap productivity. Sure, nobody is untouchable, but the sheer amount a team would have to overpay to get cheap productivity away from a rebuilding team makes any reasonable possibility of a trade not worth it. But if there getting several players that will help them in the future for one guy who will be well out of there price range when hes due for a contract if he keeps it up, surely theyd have some interest.
  2. R.I.P. 2008 San Diego Padres 3/31/2008-5/20/2008
  3. hes around 6'7, single, likes puppy dogs, folks music, and long walks on the beach. Oh, and hes doing pretty good in Iowa. 1.50 ERA I think. Hes better off down there waiting for Marquis to melt down than he is on the big league team at the end of the bullpen.

  5. We never really had him. He was one of those late round picks who never signed, like Khalil Greene. He also was drafted late by the Indians in '05. Im sure theyd love him too.
  6. Ive been thinking that too, but my greatest fear is that hes given a big 3-4 year deal mid season and turns back into Dumpster.
  7. It all makes sense. Had we not grabbed him back up, surely some low level NL team would have and he would have decimated us every time we face him.
  8. Matt Murton doing well. Trade him while we can. Felix Pie still looking for his first hit. Cotts with a save. Ascanio with an ERA in the low 2s. Meanwhile, Chad Fox coninues to waste space in the pen.
  9. why was I not notified? Oh well, as long as they understand hes there to help the Iowa team and he has no buisness in Wrigley. http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Dubois%20%201B&pos=&sid=t451&t=p_pbp&pid=425650
  10. He just found his stroke as a reliever in the big league level, plus he wouldnt be able to do what he does in 1 or 2 innings for 5-7 innings.
  11. Another home run tonight by Ryan "yeah, we know he spent 8 years in the minors" Ludwick.
  12. Now thats why Mike Wuertz is a middle reliever and Carlos Marmol is a golden GOD
  13. the good news is, if Marmol can get out of this, the meat of the Astros lineup will be out of the way.
  14. Ronny just ensured another 2 weeks without playing time.
  15. Come on now, its the Royals. You're supposed to no hit the Royals.
  16. yay. Now lets get back to the damn Cub game ESP soap dropping N.
  17. damn soap dropping red sox and there soap dropping no soap dropping hitter.
  18. Holy dropped soap, Geo was the last Cub Id ever expect to hit an in the parker.
  19. Come on Cubs. if you look up the word journeyman in the dictionary, you'll see a picture of this guy.
  20. If it makes it easier, you could treat Edmonds like all the MLB video games treat Bonds. Make up a hilarious fake name with the same number (I believe MLB games referred to Bonds as Reggie Stocker). MVP Baseball called him Jon Dowd. Wes Mailman was my fav.
