  1. Nobody really counted on the bottom dropping out of the NL West and the AL Central.
  2. The Rockies will be doing no such things. There team is in shambles, but its do to injury, not a bad team. The majority of the core of this team wont be going anywhere any time soon, so theres no reason to get rid of there top pitcher simply because they ran into some bad luck this year. If we want to go after a pitcher, A.J. Burnett and Joe Blanton would probably be the best targets.

  4. How about Peavy? He was DLd retroactive to may 15, so he should be eligible to come off any day now. Any word on how hes doing?
  5. Lets finish these guys off tommorow and then sweep the pads in their own house next week. Peavy isnt coming back from the DL by then, is he?
  6. Pods is really pissed that we didnt pick him up off waivers last year.
  7. unless we can get a top of the line starter, CF, or SS, I really se no reason for this team to make any random trades.
  8. How did Ascanio get a save being up by 7 runs?
  9. After a win like this afternoons, I cant even imagine losing to Glendon Rusch.
  10. I watched a replay of the DeRosa home run on MLB.com. I knew it was going to happen, but it gave me chills anyway.
  11. Nothing can ruin my evening, even the fact that Jim Edmonds probably just bought himself at least another month on this team.
  12. attn Kerry Wood: Blow this, and there will be a lynch mob waiting at your locker. Thank you.
  13. maybe we can pull this...ah, forget about it. Theres always tommorow(Hey, its beats the hell out of "theres always next year".)
  14. maybe the Pirates can take care of our old pal Welle and we can pretend this little nightmare never happened.
  15. I think the CUbs just need to take the rest of the afternoon off anf take this out on their old pal Glendon tommorow.
  16. I agree with the day off, but wouldnt you rather rest him against Rusch or De La Rosa instead of their top pitcher? I know hes 0-10 against him, and if it were Theriot or DeRosa, Id say sit him, but with Ramirez, I dont know it that small a sampling is reason enough to sit him.
  17. Even our forfeit lineup look pretty good. Theres nothing wrong with Ramirez is there?
  18. Do you mean Walrond? Him too! Yeah, that's the guy. Did the Iowa Cubs finally give up on Walrond?
  19. he owned us last time. This time the msjority of his offense is broken. Hopefully, no situations ill arise that call for glove throwing.
  20. We basically traded Jacque Jones for him. Jacque Jones to Detroit for Omar Infante Omar Infante was then spun to Atlanta for Ascanio. Ah ha, thanks BbB. Dont forget Will Ohman. The fact that we were able to spin Ohman and Jones into not only a valuable reliever, but saving Carlos Marmols arm from falling off by the break should be the first sin that this teams ready for good things.
