  1. Murton is attending the funeral of his grandmother. Besides that, it wouldn't make that much sense to have anyone from Iowa join the team in Cooperstown for this game. Iowa played a DH yesterday and they're playing a DH today. They would have been giving up more ABs just to play half a game or so in Cooperstown. In addition, I'm sure travel in and out of Iowa isn't that great right now considering the flooding in Des Moines. I'm pretty sure the original post is green font-like. you are correct in your assumption
  2. His ERA is over 4 in thos appearences because of one bad inning and 1 bad pitch. ERA for a reliever just doesnt mean much, as 1 bad inning can jack it up.
  3. I have no interest in Maddux unless for some strange reason the Cubs move to Petco.
  4. He suffered a mild concussion. Hes fine. They said theres an off chance he may be placed on the DL, but nothing serious.
  5. If anyone still pays attention to the Brewers, The Twins took a 2-1 lead.
  6. That is what is causing this. I just wish one of our not-as-good relievers could just come in and not have to give up a ton of hits. they don't. Wuertz gives up his share of walks, which pisses off Lou whether they lead to runs or not. Howry had earned Lous trust until his last 3 appearences. He has something against Lieber ever since that Reds game, and he saves Cotts for Loogy situations for the most part.
  7. Good job by Marmol. You cant trust just anyone with 2 out and a 6 run lead.
  8. SS. Eric Patterson 2B. Mike Fontenot LF. Reed Johnson CF. Jim Edmonds 1B. Micah Hoffpauir C. Henry Blanco 3B. Jason Maquis RF. Mike Wuertz P. Jon Lieber
  9. Does it really matter anymore? Its blatently clear that LaRussa has made a pact with the devil and whatever wash up they sign or low level prospect they bring up will dominate. My prediction is sometime in late July, Mulder, Carpenter, and Clement will all return, suck and that will begin the downfall of the Cards.
  10. He could hit a walk off in game 7 of the World Series and some clowns would still boo him.
  11. Sweet! Now if we can get 2 or 3 more runs, Lou might consider giving Marmol the day off.
  12. This is pretty much what I was expecting when we got him, with maybe a little less power. He had that one ridiculous stretch, and then we were expecting more.
  13. 1:35PM, November 13th, 2015-Albert Pujols signs with the Chicago Cubs. 1:37PM, November 13th, 2015-This doofus is found hanging in his apartment/stepdads garage.
  14. Ah yes, Mr. Unpredictable Ted Lilly. The man just as likely to give up 7 runs in 2 innings as he is to be lights out.
  15. Julian "I havnt been DFAd yet?" Tavarez just melted down. Twins 6 Brewers 4.
  16. Hes a Cub now. Its not like one day vs. the Cards hes going to intentionally drop a fly ball, and rip off his Cubs jersey reveling a Cards half shirt underneath. Ive been all about him since the rumors started.
  17. Dave Hollins, Darren Daulton, and Len Dykstra just homered off of Todd Wellemyer.
  18. Nice game. Interesting how the majority of the damage came from Fontenot, Blanco, Cedeno, and Johnson. I hope we can see more of this Marquis. Marmol showed us why Lou doesnt trust anyone else in the pen in a sticky situation, and a special congrats to Bob Howry. Theres nothing harder to do than hang on to a 5 run lead in the 9th, but he came through.
