    The Pirates muster up an actual run, and of course the Cardinals get it right back the next half inning. Are the Pirates really any better than the Nationals? Are they worse?

    Sorry I dont have a posted source, I just heard it on the radio. At first, I though it was Hanley, but it was Manny.

    I doubt it was a trust issue. If we were clinging to a 2-3 run lead, maybe, but Harden was cruised through 7 strong innings, and there was really no reason to pull him at the time.

    Put in Bobby Scales, then. I probably prefer Miles. They may as well have given Scales the start so they could see if hed be worth keeping around and getting rid of Gathright.

    It would eb nice to sweep our first series, even if it is just a 2 gamer. While we should be able to get to Old Man Ortiz, Lilly and the Crawford Boxes is always a scary combination.

    Now that were almost 20% into the season, how long before a bad start starts to become more than just that, because between Milton and Soto, we have 2 important players who were still waiting on anything from.

    Marmol never gave those poor guys a chance. Hes a perfect example of why ERA is such a worthless stat when it comes to 1 inning relievers.

    I wouldnt so much mind Miles if he were on a contract like Gathrights. basically your run of the mill backup middle infielder, every team has 1. I just dont understand how being a switch hitter warranted Hendry to jump on him like he was some kind of prize.

    Definitely a good move. I figure we can ride him out as long as we can, and when his elbow or shoulder(I forget which) gives, we can go to Ascanio or Stevens. I am glad to have another quality veteran in the pen.

    I understand the excitement of Ascanio as a starter, but I really wish hed get the callup to the bullpen and send Shark down. Even if they want to keep Ascanio as a starter in Iowa, Id be just as happy with Fox or Stevens replacing Shark.

    Is The Creature any better of a fielder than Fox, because hes on a bit of a tear himself. his avg. is up to .400

    Because Sherill is LH and that is important to Piniella and Hendry. Also, over the long haul I'd expect Sherrill to be better than Gregg. Sherrill would also be under the Cubs control next year where Gregg is a FA. I think the intention is to groom Marmol for the closer role. I would be interested in Jose valverde, who I believe is up for free agency, but if we cant find an upgrade, Id just assume go with Gregg and Marmol.

    The reason Sherill lost said closer job is because hes not any better than Gregg, so why would we give up Gregg AND something else for him, unless something else is Aaron Miles and Joey Gathright.

    With him, Adam Dunn, and Elijah Dukes, thats a nice little core to build around, especially if they can ever get a decent pitcher or 2 on that team. They also have 2 of the biggest recent busts in Corey Patterson and Lastings Milledge on their AAA team. I dont know about Corey and his .371 OPS(yes, thats .371 OPS, not .371 avg), but Milledge might have some trade value left.

    Since trolling, potty mouth and personal attacks seem to eb the only ways to get banned, and since he want a troll, 2 options remain, so Im sure it cant be too hard to figure out.
