Thats a horrible thing to even say. Almost as bad as hoping that Pujols elbow finally falls off or Ryan Brauns back gives out, which is why Id never hope for such a thing.

Jake Fox 1-4 and finally falls below the double Mendoza line. Im getting more and more intrigued with this Chris Robinson. 3-4 with 3 doubles and 4 RBI and hitting .386 with a .911 OPS. -

We have a very good starting staff. Marshalls good, but hes about 4th. -
How have the Pirates kept Veal on their roster this long? Hes pitched 3 innings all season.

Mitch Atkins again doing his best to make sure hes not part of a deal to get Peavy, or anyone else for that mater. -
Too bad we cant make a deal to send him to the Bears so Cutler can actually have someone to throw to.

Ankiel almost breaks his damn neck, and might not even need a DL stint, but 3 of our top guys miss significant time on routine baserunning plays. Theres no justice in baseball.

On to Houston where we draw Mike Hampton and Russ Ortiz, who will each probably last 4 -5 inings at most.

That's a very sad fantasy. He's eligible at just about every position. That's what makes him so valuable. So could DeRosa, only he had that nasty habit of hitting the baseball every now and then.

I was going to respond with some snarky post about how even teams like the Giants get 6 runs quite a few times during the course of the year, but they have only done it 4 times in the first 24 games this season before today. And yes, they are 4-0 when scoring more than 6 runs. The Astros and Nationals are tied 10-10 in the 12th, so anyoen can score big runs.

Marshall has just been cruising since that rough 1st inning. He is really becoming a solid major league pitcher. If we dont score the next 2 innings, hopefully Lou lines up Soriano-Theriot-Ramirez-Bradley-Soto for the 9th.

You're forgetting our biggest power threat of them all... They'll only break out Babe Mantle in a special situation.

Great idea. Hows about we let him do it in Iowa or Daytona.

If our pitching can keep these guys dormant, I like our chances with Ramirez, Soriano, and to a lesser extent Bradley and Soto on the bench.

Lincecums thrown 65 pitches so far, so we'll be lucky to get 1 inning out of their pen. We'll just have to find a way to hit him or lose.

Ive noticed it too, but I didnt want to be accused of over reacting.

Especially if we can get to their pen, I guarantee some pinch hitters toward the end game if it stays close.

Looks like unless something horrible happens to Lincecum in the next few innings, we aint winning this game. Go Pirates and Phillies!
