  1. Why are people not alowed to get excited about having a good leadoff hitter, even if it has only been for 2 games while Sorianos been absolute trash for 2 months straight?
  2. Heilman goes 1-2-3? Next thing you know, Soriano will get a hit.
  3. Yeah its too bad that Soriano has never gunned out a runner at home. Unless you are talking about defense as a whole, then keep talking. Soriano will gun a guy down with his arm, but when it comes to the glove, hes just enough to get by.
  4. At least we know why Kosuke keeps his job when hes slumping. Soriano and Bradley, not so much.
  5. Youd think that with over 100 pitches and Fielder due up, Sean Marshall would be well warmed up by now, but whatever.
  6. Soriano and Bradley both need to be delt with one way or another.
  7. Absolutely, but do we have money for anything worth while?
  8. cue the we almost got out of it 3 RBI double.
  9. Does Sorianos OPB have to hit .250 before hes benched again, or at least moved out of leadoff? maybe <.200.
  10. Hopefully we can see what Jeff Bakers capable of before they make that decison. I dont see Blanco as an everyday starter, and we know Miles isnt.
  11. Correction, Marmols been doing his best Zambrano impression for the past few months.
  12. Yea Im a little bit upset....but for some reason I still like seeing Soriano in the lineup. Hes gotta start heatin up sometime. quiet, were not alowed to like Fuld until he proves himself.
  13. Z working quickly and effectively. I just hope nobody looks at him wrong or anything.
  14. Whats not to get? Hes been horid for the past 2 months.
  15. take a wild guess International ugly hat day, my favorite.
  16. Soriano everyday of the week and twice on Sundays Especially since Kendall cant hit anyone but the Cubs.
  17. Im just saying ride the hot hand. Nothing more. I just wish that rathe than sending someone down theyd try to shop these guys around for a reliever which is what we really need. I cant take Heilman or Patton anymore. We're not getting much better than Heilman if we trade a 29-year-old whose only real benefit is his power. He's worth more if we keep him. Hoff is a bench guy. He'll probably get another 5-7 years out of it. Hes not the 1st baseman of the future, as he'll be 31 years old by the time Lees gone, assuming Lee remains through the duration of his contract. Even if we can get a reliever from an AL team that the NL hasnt seen much of, id take it. Even if we get like a Russ Springer, Id take it. Fox and Hoff on the same team is like Daryl Ward and Cliff Floyd again. If we can get more for Fox, then try to shop him. In a perfect world, Jake Fox could be the backup catcher, but thats not going to happen. Our bench should look like Power/backup 1B/5th outfielder-Fox/Hoff 4th outfielder-Fuld/Reed backup SS-Blanco utility-Baker/Miles catcher-Hill I suppose we could also just send someone down until September. I guess the frustrating part is, especially when Guz comesd back, if Lou were willing to accept that Marshall is more than a loogy we could have a very solid pen, but no, gotta have Heilman or Patton face those righties.
