So we have Oakland next then? Damn. So whose on that team anyway besides Wuertz? Are Walt Weise or Terry Steinbach still there? All kidding aside, its one of those teams where nobodys ever heard of a any of them but the Cubs still cant beat them.

Different situation. Colvin was a 1st round pick who was off to a decent professional career before he was slowed down by a bad elbow and eventully TJS. Also, Colvin can play a solid defense. Jake Fox, like Micah Hoffpauir before him was a guy who was always a decent hitter in the minors but nothing special who chose to blow up on AAA pitching for a year in his late 20's before he was called up and had some degree of success before big league pitchers figured him out. To be honest, I never saw Fox as a guy who would by a big time slugger, but at worst, I thought hed be able to put up Russell Branyan or Marcus Thames type numbers.

Good Lord, this division is a joke. In the NL East, were in dead last. In the AL East, AL West, and NL West, were 2nd to last.

I dont hate Koyie. Hes your garden variety backup catcher. Unfortunately, Lou chooses to cut off his nose to spite his face and let him start a bit too regularly.

And will likely see for quite some time after. How bad are the Cubs that Lee and Hill are separated by just 2 batters? Bad enough that Koyie Hills about to become a regular starter.

All Koyie Hill has going for him are the 2 qualifications one needs to be a starting catcher for Lou Pinealla: Own catchers gear and not be named Geovany Soto.
