  1. Whoever thinks we're winning this game is living in Dreamland. Apparently Lou doesnt . here comes Wuertz.
  2. Double plays hurt the Cubs again, this time in Milwaukie. Let those rat bastards keep hope alive for another day.
  3. the Cards are kind of sort of trying to put something together in the 2nd.
  4. Too little too late Teddy. Marquis really needs his A game tommorow, as Trashel is pitching Thursday.
  5. looks like the brewers just won their game. at least somebody out there want to win.
  6. god these guys look horrible tonight in every aspect of the game.
  7. Sorianos already made up his mind that he'll only accept a strikeout here.
  8. Because of the righty-lefty advantage, dude. Because he's been absolutely decimating lefties since coming to the Cubs.
  9. Someone remind me again why Lou keeps putting Monroe in the lineup instead of someone who might be able to hit the ball.
  10. Another case of Cubs pitching not being able to take care of the dregs of the opposing lineup.
  11. youd think the Cards would know everything Suppan has to offer.
  12. Funny, I dont remember Miguel Cabrera looking like a beer league player back in 2003. If doughnuts and cheeseburgers ever become banned substances, look out Miggy.
  13. Even if we do lose to him, the Reds have a bunch of bad pitchers, 2 of which we should be able to make short work of. Remember, their number 3 hitter, who's a nototious Cub killer is out of the picture.
  14. keep in mind Griffeys out, and that alters the Reds lineup.
  15. What ledge? How many games do you think we will lose to the likes of the Marlins and the Reds? I hoping we clinch in Miami, but we're too close and I'm feeling nervous Get yourself together man. we have Ted Lilly tommorow. Thats a W. Between Marquis and Hill, chalk up at least 1 more W. Zambrano wants the Reds BAD. 1 more W. Meanwhile, whatever happens with the Cards, are the Brewers going to beat Peavy, Young and Maddux? I'm thinking not.
  16. Clinching against the Marlins would excersise a lot of '03 Demons.
  17. Hopefully the Brewers can scrape across 1 more run. I remember one of the radio broadcasters saying that the Brewers have a horrible record in games after scoring 10+ runs.
  18. Or leaving your ace (at the moment) pitcher to hang when he's getting shelled for 9 runs? It just doesn't make any sense. You don't think the Brewers would rather get into the bullpen early? Remind me not to have you manage a ballclub anytime soon... Wainwright, Looper, Wellemeyer. The Cardinals entire pitching staff is a bullpen.
  19. Or leaving your ace (at the moment) pitcher to hang when he's getting shelled for 9 runs? It just doesn't make any sense. The fact that Waiwright is their ace suggests trouble, as does the fact that Todd "Wow, He's Still out There" Wellemeyer is in their starting rotation.
  20. He'll join Michael Barrett, Morgan Ensberg, Scott Hairston, and Rob Mackowiak on the list of random mediocre players aquired by the Padres througout the course of the season. The Lane acquisition isn't random... they needed a replacement for Bradley... everything else is a head scratcher... does Barrett even have a HR for the Padres yet this season? How about Ron Artest?
  21. I find it laughable that some are starting to lose faith just because the Brewers are beating whats left of the Cards, as everyone predicted they would, despite the fact that The Cubs are in the midst of a 4 game winning streak and about to do battle with one of the worst teams in baseball.
