    shorten the damn regular season. with the wildcard and expanded playoffs, the regular season is becoming less and less important.

    It's a little bit like NFL Network bringing whichever Gumbel it was in the first season of their football games. He was terrible and really had no business being back in the booth. The difference, though, is that Gumbel was at least a football announcer for a few years. I'm not sure Stockton ever did a baseball game before last season. he used to broadcast red sox games, i believe it was back in the '70's though.

    i've got maybe a dumb question: i just got hd directv and my package includes the nfl sunday ticket. the problem is the games i'm getting in the sunday ticket package aren't in hd. are they all supposed to be in hd?

    i'm love the parity (at least parity by epl standards). regardless, the big boys will rise to the top by may, but it makes for a little bit more interesting regular season.

    Anyone else have pictures of Ted Lilly dancing in their heads? Seriously? Outside of that one HR in the playoffs, Ted Lilly shows less emotion (on and off the field) than any other player in history. If you're lucky you'll get a 1 second grimace, but I think that's more him stretching his face muscles. So I'm not sure if you were joking or not. mark prior was a freakin robot on the field too.
