    i've seen benson's crying on draft day being mentioned on here a few times as a possible red flag into his mindsight, attitude, maturity, etc. here's the lead from david haugh's piece in yesterday's piece on cedric benson's release. he said it's from a source familiar with the story.

    he's a maddening player. he's so, so good, but my god, he could never stay healthy for more than a month when he was with chelsea. but when he's on, he adds such versaility and speed on the left side, he's an amazing weapon.

    It probably means that Mike is making another return They can use Collins until Rose is just about ready to take the team to the next level, then bring in Phil Jackson for 6 championships in 8 years. Rose better not be thinking minor league baseball. as long as he doesn't develop a gambling problem there won't be a reason for a sham retirement/minor league stint Can he still "be friends" with porn chicks? On Boers and Bernstein Terry wouldn't say exactly why he thought Collins was let go. He said that he media was forced to speculate because the Bulls weren't that specific. So what is Terry talking about? that's all boers ever does. he vaguely alludes to things like he has some insider info on it. but he never says anything until after the fact. it's quite annoying.

    i don't have much to add about the u.s.-england match because i don't get espn classic. but i have to say i'm getting really pumped for the euros. we're under two weeks until the first game. i'm thinking of hitching my wagon to the dutch squad but it looks like they have a brutal group to advance through. in any case, i'm looking forward to the tournament, i wouldn't mind a team, like greece in '04, that makes a crazy run deep into the tournament.

    Yeah, I didn't understand the double switch at all. Blanco is a terrible hitter. He would have been better off leaving DLee in the game and using Zambrano to pinch hit for the pitcher. That mistake probably cost us the game. it's even worse because when blanco's spot came up in the order, he just bunted anyway. easily something a pitcher could've have done. an terrible move by Piniella.

    Thanks. I think he'll move upstairs. I'm curious as to what Roman is doing today? rolling around naked on piles and piles of money surrounded models. Approving plans for a yacht the size of a battleship. seriously though, he does care passionately about chelsea and winning trophies. i wouldn't be surprised him getting a taste of the champions league final making him spend even more money than usual this summer to put chelsea back in a position to be at the top again.

    minute maid park is a joke. it's quirky for the sake of being quirky. the green monster is at least built to compensate for the short porch in left field because of landsdowne st. running behind it.

    i can't be mad at terry. he clearly slipped on the wet pitch with his plant foot. if he had completely shanked it on his own, then it'd be a different story. it's just unfortunate to lose in that fashion. wolf, do you think grant will be sacked?
