    comcast is replaying the game right now and they cut out the footage of the guy charging the mound. they showed the bleachers and then the flags on the top of the stadium instead.

    very interesting move. as a chelsea supporter i don't know if i should be happier that henry will be out of the prem or i should be disappointed that he's on barca, whom chelsea inevitably will see somewhere in the champions league. not only does barca have eto'o, up front, but they also have a disgruntled eidur gudjohnsen. i always liked him at chelsea but he's not happy with his limited minutes in spain. i wouldn't be surprised to see him moved to arsenal or manchester united this summer. also, an absolutely embarassing roster for copa america. i was really excited to see the u.s. go up against really good competition, but sending the c team will get them destroyed and not show us much of anything.

    sorry if its been mentioned but why did tim howard not start last night? keller is old and not so great anymore. howard should be the #1 going forward, and if healthy, should've started last night and should start sunday.

    i watched the second half of the madrid game and have since watched the replay on tv. i never thought madrid was going to lose but i was thoroughly impressed with their second half. granted, their opponent was garbage, but when madrid started to push forward you could tell it was only a matter of time. j-shils, did you watch it on gol tv? or did you watch it elsewhere? i mentioned it previously in this thread but the announcer on gol tv was hysterically (as usual).

    I was just about to make a Qatar joke, too. I've got £10 (yeah, its not a lot) on Qatar being at a major finals before 2020. I think their investment in football will bring good things in time. where the hell did you find a sports book to make a bet as specific and yet so random as that one?

    Here's a five minute montage of highlights of real madrid's win this weekend to give them la liga's title. i love casilla's face when it sinks in that they're going to win.

    spain's la liga finished their season sunday. real madrid won 3-1, after being down 1-0 into the second half. barca was tie with points but madrid held the tie breakers. the madrid game was fantastic. gol tv was amazing. ray hudson, an announcer pitches a tent everytime someone takes a shot. i thought he was going to have a coronary when madrid took the lead. madrid have so much damn talent on the team, its ridiculous. robinho is turning into a world class player. it was madrid's first silverware in 4 years. also beckham's last game, tom cruise was at the game with his "wife". they kept showing him on the broadcast. apparently, he and becks are buds. way to get off on the right foot with your american audience, beckham, tom cruise is a joke.
