  1. a good game by cutler will not reduce the amount of anti-Cutler stupidity you hear this offseason
  2. Kyle Long ‏@Ky1eLong · 21m21 minutes ago Back in the Saddle... Gotta finish with a bang in Minnesota %Beardown
  3. what do you not like about Ryno sewer?
  4. I don't feel refreshed from cringing every time Marshall opens his mouth and have everybody bickering. They are only blunt because the season has gone to hell and the coach is a lame duck. I would prefer boring robots that win more games. Marshall isn't bickering at all. He answers questions in a relatively straight fwd fashion. Its entertaining, which is more than I can say for most of the useless drivel we hear from these guys. I'd also rather they win games and say nothing, but since that isn't an option, at least this is interesting. Have you chosen to block out most of what Marshall has said this year? The lame lockeroom blowup, the disastrous press conference, just about everything else?
  5. If I'm understanding this right, 250k for each game finished between 50 and 59. Then 250k for pitching in 50 games, and another 250k for pitching in 65 games, but the most his bonus can be is $2.5m Did we make him any kind of promises about finishing games? Did we just spend money on a Proven Closer? I'm hoping that was more about providing a raise if he is moved into the role due to Rondon injury/ineffectiveness.

  7. That's your takeaway? That Fales needs a start? The guy has an upside of a potential backup. He does not need to start. This isn't September baseball. Giving him a look isn't going to help anything. The Bears have 16 games and Jay Cutler should start every one of them.
  8. Jay gives us best chance this week.
  9. Jay is back baby Trestman calls it doctor's decision
  10. Comparing him to other position players is apples and oranges. They could theoretically not practice all week but still be ready on Sunday. The QB can't spend all week in the trainer's room and start on Sunday.
  11. he called the trainers at night, effectively turning himself in for having a concussion and wimping out of the game. #notverylunchpail
  12. I'm betting on injury. not that hard to predict
  13. So he suffered a concussion then went back out and played in the same game.
  14. Chicago Bears ‏@ChicagoBears · 17s18 seconds ago #Bears QB Jimmy Clausen will not play in Sunday's season finale in Minnesota after suffering a concussion in yesterday's loss to Lions.
  15. Jimmy's getting upset. I can't stand Jim Miller.
  16. You don't think what was Trestman?
  17. Throw in his dad as the DC of the 85 Bears, and Rex has been around the best two 4-3 defense in the history of football. He can coach any defensive scheme he wants and be damn good at it. 4-3? More like 4-6 mister!
  18. I think the NFL track record is required, but it doesn't have to be as a head coach. A current coordinator should suffice. Trestman hadn't coached in the NFL since 2004, which was before most current Bears began to play in the NFL.
  19. being an injured kicker with a recent contract extension provides a certain level of comfort
  20. No. Trestman claimed he will evaluate and name the starter later this week.
  21. I haven't heard anything like that yet.
  22. would allow the media to shift attention away from cutler and any other players. Right, personalities aside, it might be a really good combo on game day. Not sure how the press meetings would go tho. And I could see Rex turning the D around in 2 seasons and bolting for another HC opportunity. It would also never happen.
