What exactly were you expecting? These things are just fun fluff pieces. Why does it have to be a fluff piece. If I were one of those two MLB reporters I would have asked Joe Maddon questions about topics that will actually effect the team in 2016. I guarantee you that would lead to a more interesting product for the viewer at home. A few questions off the top of my head: -Wilson Contreras has been dubbed by some as the Catcher of the future. After watching him in person and on tape does he remind you of any Catcher in particular? -You coached John Lackey with the Angels and saw him pitch extensively last season as well. Talk about how his repertoire has changed over the years and what allowed him to be so effective as a 37 year old. -Talk about the changes in Kris Bryant's swing and how you believe it could potentially effect his performance this season. My interview with just those three questions alone would have been better. Not enough Cardinals clips Phuck off, you lame troll. ;) Your preferred questions are dumb. -

the only people who care about this are people who are going to find something to complain about no matter what. It's just poor protocol from a new AD No it isn't. Those announcements will always get leaked before communicated "properly" internally. There's no way around it.

Northwestern notre dame Iowa Wisconsin Michigan do a good job picking them off while a lot try to get better climates. Plus no sane person desires to be in central Illinois

last year's first round pick absolutely plays into this year's pick. Unless it's a lineman you aren't going to draft the same position two years in a row, since you need 7/8 on each side anyway. If last year's pick contributed nothing to the team because of injury you cannot risk this year's pick on an already injured player who will probably not contribute anything next year. You can feel free to talk about disassociating the picks and making every pick in a vacuum without consideration for circumstance, but no sane GM is going to actually act that way in real life. Pace needs to improve this team in a hurry. The coach is old as hell and the QB situation may only be stable for a year or two. They need a lot of talent now and their draft slot allows them to get a lot of talent now. If they draft a LB who does nothing in 2016 chances are the team is going to be mediocre again, and that is not going to be good for Pace's future.

First and foremost congrats on another nice job of trolling. Anyways i don't consider a 100 at bat sample size to be small. And so if that track record of lhp failure continues I don't understand why you wouldn't consider giving some at bats to a capable alternative. If the alternative fails you simply go back to the original situation. Plus rizzo showed last season what can happen when you aren't given the occasional day off. A sizeable second half decline becomes a legit possibility. I'm not trolling And a 100 PA or at bat sample size is pretty small, whether you consider it to be or not, especially if you're trying to establish something as relatively unusual as a reverse split. What don't you understand? He considers it small. End of discussion.

From McShay 11. Chicago Bears Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson The Bears need more impact players on defense, and Lawson -- who led the FBS with 25.5 tackles for loss last season -- fits the bill. He plays with a good mixture of relentlessness, technique and discipline. Lawson isn't the best athlete on tape, but he tested well at the combine and has a good first step.
