  1. those calls are coming from inside the house
  2. Gomer Pyle is back with Atlanta, scouting
  3. Great deal for patriots.
  4. Martellus to pats for draft pick
  5. I don't see the White Sox looking like bad guys at all. I see LaRoche looking like a kinda crappy parent, though. an overly attached parent. If the kid was there every day during the summer that would make some sense, but the fact that they pull him out of school to hang out in a locker room is kind of creepy.
  6. I think it is absolutely ridiculous for anybody to try and paint the white sox in a bad light on this one, but I am 100% in favor of it.
  7. These guys go 3 weeks at a time without seeing their families, I fail to see how the kid being in the club house is hurting anyone. Not to mention a 14 year old now knows that the White Sox didn't want himn around and his Dad left baseball because of it. Apparently you haven't spent any time with children. A 14-year old in your locker room every single day is going to affect the dynamic.
  8. Home schooling? apparently they pull him out of school for weeks at a time and load up on homework, but goes back home when the team is on the road.

  10. [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet] Kenny Williams and/or the White Sox are pure evil.
  11. the best fans in baseball are handling this story as well as can be expected
  12. Sounds like the White Sox didn't want his kid in the locker room anymore. Guess he had him around all the time with his own locker and stuff. He's 14. [tweet] [/tweet]
  13. bears signed their long snapper, aaron brewer who was with denver
  14. I don't think that is the question. I would assume they wouldn't be available because that would violate specific language in their contracts. The question is if you have to use one of your protected spots on them, which I also assume you would have to do.
  15. it's just been so freaking long since they had a stable and good offensive line. Bushrod worked for like a season and a half, but the line as a whole still kinda stunk. The Fred Miller Jon Tait years were good for some stability, but it didn't last since both guys were signed as older veterans. If they really do plan on finding a new QB in the next year or two, it would be nice to have a solid line already in place so the kid isn't destroyed before he has a chance to develop.
  16. yeah, the league isn't going to reward teams just because they allowed no movement clauses. I assume a no movement clause will require protection
  17. I think drafting a potential franchise left tackle in your second draft as GM would be very enticing. Angelo tried it in his first draft with Colombo and Emery waited until his second to take Kyle Long, who some speculated was meant to shift to LT eventually. I can't put a rating on this guy but I'd be pretty happy about it in theory. [tweet] [/tweet]
  18. some stupid people equate being called up to the big leagues = going pro but the term professional is pretty damn clear
  19. Sure, in the US...but are they counting foreign leagues there? I don't think that's clear.

  21. Ultimate BoxingWrestlingKicky Championship Why is that more made up than any other sport? Because it's newer? newer and douchier and stupider
  22. Might be. Not a perfect comparison, but like with Rousey, I knew of her and knew she was unbeatable. But I had never seen one of her fights. And I had no idea she was fighting the night that she lost until the whole world went insane about her losing. Now I'm actually fairly interested in the rematch. Oh come on, that's not only not a perfect comparison but a terrible one. Rousey is a made up star in a made up sport. She exists solely as a product of marketing.
  23. To the extent I hear anything about tennis, its' Serena, a Eurotrash player or some scandal involving the men's game. Maybe her biggest problem is how dominant she is. The sport would probably be better off with somebody who can be a real rival to Serena.
  24. This was Martina Navratilova at the age Serena is now: http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopoly_fs/1.1385508.1435955574!/img/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/gallery_1200/martina-navratilova-1990.jpg
