  2. at least his were filmed from press box level instead of cheerleader angle for Ashland Chipotle.
  3. like a honeymooner who married the world's most beautiful, and rich, woman. DGAF if she woke up a little worse for wear after last night's late night party down session
  4. Well, sounds like someone was trying to move up to yhe Bears' pick. HOW COULD PACE HAVE KNOWN THAT? I BET IT WAS THAT GODDAMNED ROBERT REDFORD AND PAUL NEWMAN PRETENDING IT WAS A DRAFT BUT IT WAS REALLY JUST THE BASEMENT OF BURT REYNOLDS'S HOUSE why are you acting as if nobody else thinks somebody was probably trying to move up to the Bears position?
  5. If Trubisky is a pro bowl QB and Pace identified him as such and someone else was going to leapfrog the Bears to grab him, of course it makes the move a stroke of genius you horsefeathering pecker. nobody was going to leapfrog them. that point is obvious. in any competitive negotiation the bears had the biggest chip out there in the 3 spot. SF was always going to be more comfortable moving down 1 spot to 3 than trading down several spots to get even lower. And Trubisky would have been there at 3.
  6. I'm fine with picking Trubisky, and don't mind taking smaller school and other "interesting" names, but that trade was dumb as horsefeathers and i'm kind of getting sick of all the stupid commentary about Pace being bold by making that move. It was a dumb person's trade. He went one freaking spot. They had the 3 pick, that was far and away better than anything anybody else could offer SF. I didn't want them to take a Qb at 3, but if they had to, so be it. Actually trading up from 3 was just dumb and no, if it works out it doesn't take away how dumb that move is. Draft picks are valuable commodities and Pace treated his like fake chips at a charity poker event.
  7. http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/logopedia/images/1/12/Wwor.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110413232401 A 10 year old outside the metropolitan area has never seen a metropolitans game on WWOR
  8. how does a kid from the country become a metropolitans fan?
  9. Hate to disappoint, but he already revealed what he prefers to be kissing. if he meant "looks pretty to men", his preferences don't matter for it to be true.
  10. Yes, Pace survives. That gives them an easy out on Fox and Pace gets to hire his non-big name coach. A big name coach isn't taking that job anyway, so Pace will take some young guy (can't believe I saw Pat Fitzgerald's name this weekend), and those two together will get 2018 and 2019 to win, and then 2020 will be a fresh start with a whole new GM/HC combo and first round QB. Trubisky would have to look awful for them to move on after this year. Or the QB would have to be Peyton Manning reincarnate. Odds are they trade down from that spot and collect picks to give them WR, DE, OT and DB help, since they will need lots of help at all those spots after next year. But my guess is they will be more like pick 5-8 and we'll have no real feel for Trubisky. They may benefit from a run on QBs early in the draft and could trade down a little bit from there to do the same strategy.
  11. I remember reading something that said he doesn't do anything great. He's just solid across the board. Like a 3rd starter. [tweet] [/tweet]
  12. People who wanted to wait didn't believe any of these guys met their criteria.
  13. I didn't WANT a QB (as I was pretty vocal about), so I guess this isn't directed at me, but if they were going to take one in the first, Trubisky was the one I liked best. I do respect the conviction and the balls it took for Pace to do this, and if he's as good as they obviously think, none of it matters. QB is a weird position and I don't love the whole "well if your guy gets taken you can get this other guy who is publicly viewed similarly" with it. Not in the first or second round, at least. Gotta say, everything I've read about and seen with Trubisky in the last few days has me very impressed. As for the rest of the draft, who the horsefeathers knows either. I know by now not to give a horsefeathers about how pundits rate drafts in the immediate aftermath. The whole thing with the media blasting the Bears draft a day after like they have any idea if it's actually good or not is hilarious to me. It's the job of scouts and the FO to find and pick who they think are good players. At the very least, they've earned some benefit of the doubt from me with how solid last year's draft (and I'll give a little credit for Goldman in 2015). There's some intrigue with the players they took. I can't wait to see Shaheen in preseason. Jackson was a good value. Let's actually see them play first. I really don't get the "respect the balls" idea. It wasn't a ballsy move at all in my mind.
  14. I'm in board with the pick and think it's way less than 50/50 it works.
  15. his future is in the hands of the offensive line, that must keep Glennon healthy enough while losing 15 games. And then maybe next year they will try to draft actual football players.
  16. theres no offensive skill depth in this team, not weird at all to bring in more guys.
  17. They are forcing me to love him
  18. Upon further review I believe Pace has the confidence of George to see this thing through, including keeping Mitch on the sidelines while Fox muddles through 2017 with Gannon, and then he will have his pick of coaches to take on the job of actually winning football games. I don't believe this staff will be able to develop the QB, but it won't hurt him to be in an NFL room with 2 vets and these coaches, breaking down film. Mission 1A for 2017 is keeping Mitch off the field, meaning they have to keep Glennon safe at all costs. Depending on how they're doing in a hypothetical Glennon injury, I could see them turning to Sanchez. without a doubt, but he's last line of defense

  20. they are trying to get a "i am very confident in my ability to succeed in the nfl now" quote
  21. The ramifications of this are pretty huge. If Fox is cool with this, that has to mean he's ready to step down soon. No HC is going into the process of forging ahead with a #2 pick QB with no input into the decision. It's made sense all along that Pace would get one chance to replace a HC before being canned. My confidence in that waned since the Glennon signing but that's probably not the case anymore. The idea that Pace and George decided on Trubisky a month ago and informed Fox 1.5 during the red carpet is a huge slap in the face to a HC, unless that guy is just counting the days to retirement.
  22. I question an analysis that begins like this: and concludes he paid what he should have paid because GMs overpay to go higher all the time.
  23. so it's this week in baseball? nah, they will only discuss that particular night's results.
  24. He retweeted Trubiskys tweet and apparently is going to call him "Rich" Cliff notes because hes made like 50 tweets in the last 18 hours. I miss out on so much because he got mad at me over a mildly negative reply to a Tweet of his about lebron's mental toughness nah, the dude has gone off the rails and tweets gibberish
