  1. hopefully in his address he will be encouraging them to find a new political party. as mooney pointed out last night, maddon ain't no liberal

  3. okay, backtobacksomeday just means Harper wants to see his wife and bryant's wife reenact the requiem for a dream scene
  4. The Bears had good lines with the good lovie teams, they were just patched together with 29 year old free agents and they ignored the line in the draft so it fell apart quickly. I think a strong line can go a long way to help a less talented team stay competitive. You still need your skill guys to win you games, but the line can cover for some of your weaknesses.
  5. the early 90's were a dark and terrible time to be a baseball fan
  6. And this is based on...what, exactly? The fact that we are not fun anymore and suck. Also I thought when something is prefaced as meatbally you can say anything and not be held accountable.
  7. I'm sorry [tweet]https://twitter.com/SInow/status/879821831292801025[/tweet]
  8. the guy who doesn't know who seinfeld is? screw him
  9. I guess it depends on your definition. Anybody who's only claim to fame is posting on twitter and trolling athletes is pretty effing irrelevant. oh another guy who is angry about this how is she a troll? of course robot boy has a thing for the chick who only exists on social media
  10. I'm mostly on board with this idea but there would be a notable level of increased enjoyment of seeing them win 10 more games this season, lose 10 less games, and go three straight seasons over 95 wins. 95+ win team teams are fun to follow because there is a noticeable difference in how good they are compared with the 86ers. Plus they could get homefield advantage in the NLDS.
  11. all souvenir hounding kids are dipshits anyway
  12. I think this entire thing has been about selling tickets at minor league affiliates and selling merchandise that doesn't get split with the rest of MLB via CBA/40 man roster designation of said player. It's one thing to make up PR reasons to justify a promotion of a gimmick in the minor leagues, but that could be hard for major league reasons. It costs them nothing to put the guy in single-A, there is an actual issue with putting him on the 40-man roster though.

  14. I liked the Campbell idea because defensive depth seemed to be a legit concern and his skill set was supposed to match the needs, but a kind of sucky sharp seems rather pointless.
  15. here come the steroid accusations [tweet] [/tweet]
  16. Because nobody wants him or his horrendous contract. I realize that, I'm lamenting All in all, we lose on Pan/Saad and tread water on Hammer/Murphy consensus is complete opposite of this statement
  17. I'm sure they would if they could
