Agony and Ivy engaged your ideas seriously and explained in detail why he disagreed with them, and you completely ignored almost all of it. So if you weren't in this thread to seriously discuss ideas, how can you justify being so sanctimonious? It kind of seems like you're a person in a glass house who shouldn't have thrown stones. Baseball players guess. You said yourself you only watch Cubs, so of course you are going to see "guessing" more from them than other teams. The team's approach is great. The offense is great. It's not unstoppable but no lineup is.

That'd be effing stupid. I'd prefer we not trade a guy with a damn near historic glove that can hit 25-30 HR. Schwarber seems to be the obvious trade bait. He needs to go be a DH somewhere. Schwarber's value has never been higher. Baez's peaked over the last offseason, but is still higher than it should be. Not advocating either, but trading Schwarber right now would be stupid. After the amount of crappy weather youth soccer games I've attended, I can't help thinking how awesome indoor soccer sounds. as a kid I hated playing outdoor, and loved indoor. So much more fast paced and entertaining since there's essentially no out of bounds, unless the ball got stuck up on the stage or caught in the folded in bleachers.

Talk of expansion is most likely just another way to try exploiting current team local governments into building new stadiums. Wouldn't expansion make it harder for a team to move by eliminating a potential destination? That would take away the teams leverage. The Rays, for example, can't threaten to leave town unless there's a Portland or a Vegas or whatever that wants and can support them. That being said, expansion has recently had more failures than successes. Why expand when there isn't enough talent or fans to support them now? If expansion actually happens, sure, but talk of expansion just promotes those locations where it may happen for now. Which drives the "relocation" scam.

why would a game between two NFC teams be on CBS? did they do away with conference/network alignment and I didn't notice? Not exactly. The past couple years they've had flexibility involving a couple games each season switching away team affiliation.
