  5. How dare you sully that tremendous quote
  6. Saw urlacher outside cubby bear early and some horse lost shot a triple crown in Belmont that afternoon. I also ran into my old high school football coach that day and he was wasted.
  7. I read this entire article and came out of it still not knowing how he came to the conclusion that Mitch is good. That's weird. Although he did say pretty good.
  8. Huh??? Your name is literally JERSEY CUBS FAN It's like my whole world is now turned upside down. There's a worse Jersey than baseball jerseys. I resemble that remark.
  9. She's a pro-lgbtq billionaire, not a horsefeathering lefty by any stretch. Has Tom been connected? Well he's related to and business partners with multiple shitty trumpians, so yes, he is connected to them.
  10. Take my money dot gov
  11. What happens between the lines stays between the lines
  12. So many bumps, so little time served
  13. Anybody got a rundown of this barstool rappaport thing? I see he called out KFC for cheating on his pregnant wife. But not sure about the rest.
  14. I guess you aren't familiar with the concept of writing about sports, especially during the preseason training portion of the season.
  15. Which of the 16 World Champions are going to lead the clubhouse now that they no longer have 2 guys who joined them after winning the World Series and turned them into gutless chocking dogs? I have to imagine anybody irked by that article didn't read it past the headline, which was pretty innocuous itself. It wasn't the least bit sensationalist or Debbie downerish. He cited player and coaching changes, and then talked about guys' roles in the clubhouse. He didn't suggest nobody is capable of the job or insist it was a bad idea to get rid of prior leaders. He got a good quote from Hoyer about no longer bringing in vets like David Ross to bring established leaders from outside, and having others step into that role as a result of natural growth in their own career.

  17. I'm well past the point of being surprised if any pitcher puts up a bad year. yeah, i mean, just look at our staff in the first half of last year a down half isn't the same as having a full on bad year. If you are asking for surprises you can't eliminate your top notch starting staff doing poorly as a potential surprise.
  18. Quintana, Darvish, Lester or Hendricks having a bad year would be a surprise.

  20. Yes, the infrequent stuff Rian Watt did for them(although he's now at Fangraphs) was very good too. I will say, I wasn't sure if this was the CSN influence or not, but Mooney's stuff has a sensationalist, Wittenmyerian cynicism at times that rubs me the wrong way. He's still the best with sourced rumors, and maybe more time around Sharma will help, but it's just enough to annoy me in a fair number of his columns. mooney is too sensationalist for you ? Is that ketchup also too spicy mayonnaise boy?
  21. Did you add the Hendricks option? I didn't notice it the first time. I thought it was a bit heavy on upside surprises.
  22. Dark horse candidate: Hendricks fails miserably He is the same age as Jimi when he died. This could happen, and conceivably barely hurt the Cubs chances.
