    I'm pretty sure they've had a standing request with the league to start out with at least two series on the road each season to accommodate finishing touches on the renovation projects they started with 9 in a row on the road last year

    Isn't that what the DVR is for? i cant do sports on DVR. It's not a big deal, just 1/162. It's just my selfish preference to have the game start either earlier or later. I can do DVR for random games in June and July, but only to catch up to live action. If it's over, I'm not watching.

    horsefeathers. Lapkus rules, and she should be getting ALL OF THE WORK, but it genuinely pains me to see that she was on this horsefeathering show.

    Brace yourself for the standing ovation he’s getting for his first home AB I don't think so, but not necessarily because I put a ton of faith in the fans. He objectively wasn't good last year, and he's never had the hustle/grit (read: he's not white) or even the high batting average that usually drives that kind of fandom. All of which to say, again, for the 47th time, why did we need to bring this guy back.

    What kind of bizarro world do you live in where KB looks awful at the plate sometimes, good pitchers can expose him and get him out, sucks against good offspeed stuff and can be stopped via good strategy, but that all doesn't apply to Javy Baez?

    We really need to approach Baez about getting an extension done. Hendricks and Baez were the two key ones I want and most realistic targets. I want to get an extension for KB as well, but I'm honestly concerned about how he'll age after 30. I feel like for some reason that Bryant will not age well and that once his batspeed slows down his swing and approach will suffer. Probably has to move to corner OF at some point too (or 1B). fearing Bryant’s aging and not javy’s is bizarre to me

    2020 would be his pre-free agency world. If he were to have had a CY caliber season that year he'd sign an enormous deal. This contract takes away a lot of the upside. So part of the structure gives him back a little of that upside if he does well.
