  1. Wow they answer my question 1 minute after posting it here. No lenses. What is mens cream?
  2. Worst ratings night of the week I believe.
  3. I believe that if it goes 7, the WS will end on October 30. And I assume that means it will be played October 22/23, off day on the 24, October 25/26/27, off day on 28th, October 29/30.
  4. I guess he hates catching TDs in the Super Bowl. moose was a punk, he always had some excuse as to why he wasn't performing, and he was never at fault. If Moose was making every catch, I wouldn't have a problem with what he's saying here. The Bears have QB issues...not exactly top secret. But he had a whole lot of drops that were on him and nobody else. Which makes this quote pretty tacky. The funny thing is it wasn't all that inaccurate, Moose's career died whiel he was in Chicago. But what does that make Carolina, the place where dead WR go for the wake?
  5. I guess he hates catching TDs in the Super Bowl. moose was a punk, he always had some excuse as to why he wasn't performing, and he was never at fault. Always more interested in his television work than his pass catching. Tremendous disappointment and waste of money by Angelo.
  6. Daryle Ward, useless, or completely worthless?
  7. They probably haven't stranded more than 1 or 2 runners since they keep getting themselves out with idiocy.
  8. How so? Yeah, that's a completely arbitrary statement. Latroy Hawkins took a hell of a lot more heat.
  9. It doesn't come down to a 1-game playoff. It only does if you fail to win your division.
  10. I bet a fair amount of people think that was just smart gritty baseball
  11. Because they aren't all that big a deal, and it's far more important to concentrage on getting the hitter out.
  12. Looks to me like he's consistently called some unhittable pitches strikes.
  13. So they should be happy about his performance up to an arbitrary point that you've apparently defined? You're being ridiculous. No. That's not what I'm doing at all. Where on earth do you get that? Nah, forget it. I was making a simple comment and it's blown out of porportion. Carry on with the Edmonds lovefest. I don't know what a lovefest is, but when a Cubs player hits a HR for the Cubs, the response is generally very positive, when he hits 2 in the same game, it's even more positive.
  14. Facing Pujols a 4th time? Lilly has been lucky to only give up 2 for now. This isn't good.
  15. +1 I was going to say I don't have a problem, given the low pitch count. But I forgot he was about to face the top of the order. You have to have people warm, preferably good pitchers.
  16. The goose talks likes he's stoned all the time.
  17. She is able to. She just refuses to. She has invoked Loria's name on multiple occasions in the Cuban discussion, and, to my knowledge, has never even attempted to explain the comparison. Any time she is ever asked to explain, she talks about walking on egg shells, not getting respect, being unfairly criticized, or just being an insider who can't divulge anymore information. She expects everybody to accept what she has to say as gospel, but is unwilling to explain or defend her positions. The question remains, how are Cuban and Loria the same?
  18. Wait, so you're telling me the Cubs score more runs in wins than they do in losses? Shocking, I tell you. The Cubs are 12-8 since the All-Star Break. That is what's important. Yup but there are several ways you can analyze how they are losing. They have been slightly inconsistent offensively. That's how every team is. I picked the Rays randomly. In wins: 2, 6, 4, 4, 5, 5, 3, 3, 5, 9, 6, 8, 10. In losses: 4, 1, 2, 1, 1, 2, 1. The rays have 3 wins below 4 runs. The cubs have a 3 run gap between their closest win and loss. Yeah, that comparison isn't good if you are trying to say everybody is like that. The Rays have won scoring only 2-3 runs. The Cubs have been shut out twice, and scored 9 or more six times.
  19. True, but Rose has as much of a case to be in the HOF as Santo. Look I am on board with the "Get Santo in the Hall" bandwagon, but I also believe Rose should be in the Hall, too. He also has as big a case as anybody ever in the game to never be allowed in the HOF.
  20. David Haugh reports Williams will be inactive for 10-12 weeks, suggesting he could be back for the November 2 game. I think that's completely unrealistic. He would essentially have a week's worth of practice under his belt by then. I don't care how NFL ready he was, we would have been lucky for him to be ready to start week 1 even if he got to practice throughout training camp. I don't see him being a factor this year, and may only contribute starting in December.
  21. If/when they ever go to 32 teams, they should do this: Two 8 team divisions in each league. The winners of each division go on to the playoffs, and the 4 teams with the next best records go as well. These WC teams play a 1 game playoff to move onto the NLDS. The 2 teams with the best records host the 2 teams with the worst records 2 days after the season ends (leaving the day after season for tiebreaker scenarios). Following those two one and done games (actually, 4 across MLB - and imagine the ratings...) the winners move on to face the division winners in the NLDS in a best of 5, and the rest stays the same. What this does is significantly increase the value of winning your division, because nobody wants to play a 1 and done and because the division winners actually get to align their rotation as needed, while the wild card teams are forced to go balls out with all hands on deck just to get the chance to face those winners. This further increases the number of teams (and therefore fans) still in the hunt late in the season, increases the value of having the best record, increases interest early in the playoffs, and makes it a much greater challenge, and thus far greater accomplishment, to actually be the WC team that moves onto the World Series.
  22. Aren't we allowed to criticise and challenge her opinions, especially when they're completely ridiculous? No one has violated board rules here. It's a fine line between "criticizing and challenging opinions" and "mocking opinions". While neither are violating rules, nobody should complain about the reactions they get when they do it. Cuse was trying to defuse a bomb before it explodes, instead of trying to clean up the mess afterwards. The poster randomly compared Cuban to Loria without defending or explaining why, and has provided absolutely zero reasoning behind the dislike of Cuban. But more importantly, why shouldn't people complain about the reactions they get when they criticize and challenge opinions?
