Yes. Where do I want to spend my summers playing a child's game while I collect millions of dollars over the next 6 years? Tough one. I love the two guys that post absolutely constantly are jumping on another poster's pretty clearly castaway thought about how little it matters in the general scheme of things where a pitcher's home city is. Unless there's a move that's made where Castillo is the backup next year, Ross would be a very good addition. Backup catchers, as a rule, are terrible, so getting a strong receiver like Ross who at least in the past has shown some ability to not embarrass himself at the plate is basically all you can hope for. Hes no worse than Baker

I'm not discounting him signing with the Cubs but I'm not sure about the logic. The FO has shown time and time again that they are sticking to their plan, which includes not overpaying their predetermined price for FAs. If another team pays more than they want to they will let him go. To add to that, they've pretty much set the expectations that this year will be an improvement but 2016 is the year they target to seriously contend. Next years FA pitching is even better than this years. They won't have a problem letting Lester go, signing a middle of the road FA starter with value and then go after Price or Zimmerman next year. If they go into 2016 with the same "plan" to pay only their price for free agents they won't sign any of the premium starters then either.

If its 4 years I feel good about that, I was worried we'd have to go 5 and that would leave me feeling a little icky. -
This seems really bizarre unless they just completely gave up on Vizcaino being a player. I dont get it.

Crawford yuck, he's never really been a great OBP guy think it was .329 last year and I doubt his speed is as much of a factor as it used to be. That contract is terrible to boot. Not that I'm crazy about getting him, FWIW, it was .339. Even .329 is probably decent these days. And he had 23 steals in 29 attempts in 105 G. He was good for 2.5 wins. Seemed low to me but I guess not... Still doesn't seem to offer much in comparison to what he's paid. I guess the Dodgers would eat some of that contract to move him?
