  1. Very hot and humid day here in Philly. Call me crazy but I'd rather worry about the Phils rotation than the Brewers in the post season (Plus I could try and get playoff tickets). While the first game today is a tossup in my eyes, the Phils certainly have the advantage in the nightcap as Myers has been en fuego lately. 12:35 - Bush vs. Blanton 6:35 - Suppan vs. Myers
  2. It would only really be a nightmare for the Brewers. If they collapsed then that would mean we probably already won the division and we'd just put all the scrubs out there to play the makeup games. Oh man would that piss the Brewers off. Well in the scenario I listed it is for everyone as: A.) The Phils would possibly have their playoff hopes resting on our B team. B.) The Cubs would have to fly part of the team to Houston after the end of the season and deal with the media who I'm sure would be focused on whether or not they put out a competitive lineup. C.) The MLB would have a full blown controversy on its hands. D.) I guess the Astros would be happy as the situation would certainly seem to favor them.
  3. With the way the Brewers are collapsing right now, it would seem quite probable that the Astros and Phils are in the WC race come the end of the regular season. Imagine if the Phils are say 1-2 games up in the WC and we have to make up 1 or more games. That would be such a incredible nightmare for everyone.
  4. Good lord what a mess. Bud Selig is the epitome of a useless human being.
  5. So no final decision yet?
  6. Can they even move the series in time for Sunday at this point?
  7. Thats a lotta baseball folks. Brewers and Phils will only play their regularly scheduled game today and hold a DH tomorrow. Brewers (Parra) @ Phils (Hamels) - 2:55 PM CT Sunday's games are scheduled to be: Bush vs. Blanton @ 12:35 Suppan vs. Myers @ 6:35 (Thank God the Phils put Myers out on short rest).
  8. And I thought he couldn't get any cooler...
  9. So they really aren't going to move these?
  10. http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/weather/09/11/hurricane.ike.texas/index.html#cnnSTCOther1 What the hell were they thinking?
  11. This seems very, very dumb.
  12. According to the Drudge Report, it seems like this thing may very well have a direct hit on Houston.
  13. Odd. Gameday has 113 and CSB Sportsline has 114. They do that a lot.
  14. Per rotoworld: Hope he's back for the playoffs...
  15. John St. Clair needs to stop playing football.
  16. What he said. Although so far I have been able to control my expectations so far.
  17. Sometimes, it feels like I'm at cubs.com and that makes me sadder than pretty much any Cubs loss.
  18. Aren't you the dude who started the "reassurance thread"? It's his nature.
  19. The hell with it, I'll do it.
  20. What the...? All game all he's talked about is how awful the Cubs fans are (pointing out anytime something was booed) and how they're going to beat up on Marshall tomorrow. Really a chore to listen to.
  21. In the words of a great man: It's On Like Donkey Kong.
