  1. Hmmm that is a little worrisome.
  2. Sucks for the Braves here, they have to use more BP.
  3. Braves announcer on Cubs BP: "It's ok. I wouldn't call it one of the best in the league but it's ok." What a moron.
  4. Glad to see the Mike Brown of our farm system going strong.
  5. Jay Jackson and 2 Cubs games in one day? I don't know if I can handle tomorrow... Casey Coleman in Peoria. Andrew Cashner and Chris Carpenter for Boise. Not a bad day tomorrow. Why do I feel like I've never heard of Coleman?
  6. Well, that was great timing... I don't quite care enough to muster up an UGH but I'm slightly annoyed. Rooting for the Cards tonight? Rooting for the Cards the rest of the year, except when they face us. Why?
  7. From Harden to Marquis. Thanks rain.

  9. For some reason I thought today was Jackson's turn in Daytona. Now I am sad :(
  10. Up on the schedule today... Cardinals (Lohse) @ Marlins (Volstead) - 6:10 PM Brewers (Suppan) @ Padres (Baek) - 9:05 PM
  11. Marmol seemed like he was enjoying himself lol. Dempster is my hero.
  12. Jay Jackson makes me a happy panda.
  13. Certainly a step in the right direction.
  14. See my previous post. Sorry walking on eggshells here trying not to offend or say to wrong thing while making my point. Kind of makes me sorry to have revealed my background in the game. I still don't get it though. Loria is famous for low payrolls and throwing a fire-sale seemingly every time the Marlins accomplish anything. Going by what Cuban has done with the Mavericks, what possible connection is there? The connection is that RedIvyCub is grasping at straws. I don't mean to attack here but I think I've worked out an analogy. frostwyrm:Obama::RedIvyCub:Cuban

  16. Miss the first half of 2006? Nope. So you thought he did poorly the first half of 2006? No, but then I watched him be mediocre at best since then. I'd say the risk outweighs the reward with him That's not what you said in the original post. What? In the first post, you said you couldn't wrap your head around Rex Grossman being "high reward" in any way and then in the next post, you said the risk outweighs the reward. Those are two completely different thoughts. I suppose I misspoke a bit. I meant that as simply being that any reward he might pose (which at this point I don't expect to be high at all) is outweighed by his risk (which I will certainly admit is high!).

  20. I still can't wrap my mind around thinking Rex Grossman is "high reward" in any way.
  21. This could happen.... :-k Gruden would keep Garcia. he can never have enough QB's. Nope. Garcia will threathen to retired, then ESPN will jump on the "Garcia watch" and follow him around like a teenager after Erin Andrews. ESPN will then give Garcia his own segment on the "Bottomline" and we'll get second-by-second update as to what Garcia wants to do, blah, blah, blah. Kidding aside, if the Bucs do land Favre, Garcia will officially ask to be either released or dealt. And I hope the Bears are in line to get Garcia if he becomes available. If they are not, then that is a sign that they are not committing to improving the offense. I was thinking this the other day.
