Kevin Gregg is the closer for the majority of the season and is one of the top 3 in the NL.

Yeah, for all of the "Cubs are worse than last year" discussion, what are the Brewers after losing Sabathia and Sheets? They haven't technically lost Sheets yet. Cubs are around the 85-90 win range. Yea and putting the Reds as being better than the Cubs is just silly.

everyone else can stop making jokes now, this one is pretty good This signing just makes no sense at all I'd have to say it does actually. As someone else noted, they have a pretty strong rotation with this signing. Also, Randy getting his 300th win will add some media attention and excitment to what will probably be an otherwise uneventful season. -

Go take a deep breath please. All I'm saying is that I'm willing to bet that by the time I go to bed tonight, Jake Peavy will not be a Cub. There's just too much information out there saying that a deal isn't close. Feel free to throw this post back in my face if I'm wrong. If it doesn't happen, blame CT. I really don't believe the actual deal has to happen today. And that people should probably calm down just a tad.
