  1. The only way he could refute it would be to actually spend some money to add a player of consequence. I'm kind of looking forward to him doing that at some point. He could also refute it by saying they didn't feel any of the options available were worth the contracts they got. In most cases, he'd probably be right.
  2. The fact that they didn't bid as high as the Rangers doesn't really mean he didn't want him or he felt burned... And yet, the "Cubs are planning on giving up on 2012 and going cheap" hypothesis remains unrefuted. C'mon, Theo, just a little refutation? Pretty please? Why would he need to refute anything, especially on account of losing a blind bid?
  3. The fact that they didn't bid as high as the Rangers doesn't really mean he didn't want him or he felt burned... Exactly. At the end of the day, it's still blind bidding. Cubs could just as easily turn around and put that money into something like Cespedes and Soler.
  4. How do you expect to add pitching depth and fix 2B while keeping Garza? Edwin Jackson?
  5. It's been confirmed by MLB. It's the Rangers.
  6. Also kinda worst case scenario for Cubs trying to trade Garza
  7. lol good job gray matter
  8. Well UMF, you should know better.
  9. Someone signal modzilla
  10. Man the Ham Fighters certainly like to take their time...
  11. Jon Morosi really, REALLY wants you to know that the Blue Jays have NOT scheduled a press conference.
  12. Twitter still silent...
  13. I mean that seems very probable, but that's a weird first guy to break it.
  14. Come on already, Ham Fighters
  15. A lot of babies. Does Viagra/cialis increase your testosterone like that?
  16. Not to be all negative, but I have to agree with those that think it'll be Toronto or Texas. I think we would have heard something by now with the cubs if they really had put in a bid that high. Hope I'm wrong though.
  17. Part of me doesn't want the Cubs to win at that kind of a cost.
  18. So how is it that we know the Cubs' amount hasn't slipped/leaked?
