They just talked about the news in the Milwaukee JS. So its getting around.

This news hasn't reached all of the baseball world yet, because I'm watching Astros/Braves game in extras and the Braves announcers were basically saying "If you're the Cubs, and you've spent all the money you have to get to this point, why not give up some of the future to get CC Sabathia to really solidify you're chances in the playoffs this year and winning it all?".

So by looking at a few posts in this last page, and thread topic line, Brewers have actually landed Sabathia?! Figures. (if so) But with Z, Demp, & [as of the last month or so] Lilly; we don't need a CC Sabathia to win it all. Sure would have been nice to get CCS, but if we could get a Burnett type guy to fill in the 3rd spot in the rotation - or someone to either put in the 2nd spot, or even a lesser guy to be the #4 - we should be ok come playoff time.

If they do somehow know who the starting pitchers are for both leagues, and are as listed, Hurdle is off his fricking rocker if he starts Webb. Webb has been getting shellacked recently.

It was great wasn't it? he got jobbed by the ump, but i'll take it He got jobbed, but some would say he deserved to be called out on that last pitch for so vehemently showing the ump up on the previous one. He must be as stupid as he looks, cause how he didn't know that Wood would throw the exact same pitch right after that is unfeasible. Woody really did get some "early 90s ATL pitching staff" strike calls on those last two though, no doubts about it. WTG Woody! :clapping:

For anyone interested, there's an NFL game between the Dolphins and Broncos on FSN Rocky Mountain right now........ err, wait. Just actually checked and its a baseball game between the Marlins and Rocks. 17-16?! :shock: "Rarefied air" indeed. :lol:

God forbid we should gain some ground on anyone. Not gaining ground > Losing ground I'll take that Very true. At the same time, (and this is assuming the never-ending great luck of the Cards doesn't factor in tonight), its kinda hard to see them down 9-0 early and know that we won't be making any hay in the standings from it.
