  1. 1-0 Rox already... very nice. (just T1 though, so still the entire game to go basically)
  2. It does. Now if we can keep up our home dominance, and sweep these last 4, and ask PIT to win at least 1 game this weekend, man would it be nice to go into the break with a 6.5 game bulge (assuming of course the result of today's StL/PHI game holds as currently stands)! Thereby ending the first half with a Harden and a bulge. Not to mention there's Wood in there somewhere too. Nothing impotent about that line of thinking.
  3. Not to mention the start of a 3.5 day off stretch at the end the of the game on Sunday. Not for Soto. He's catching the entire ASG? WTG, Geo!
  4. Did you say something... There's a game today... wha??

  7. I wake up to a Philly 2-0 lead in the third inning. What a glorious start to the day! 5.5 & 6.0 by 4:30 today?? :beg: x infinity & beyond
  8. "Hitting vs the Cubs just got Harden harder" (lame, I know)
  9. At the risk of being labeled something for not already knowing this, what is the story behind Brennaman and his hatred of the Cubs and/or Cubs fans?
  10. Way to come back after the leadoff [and 4th batter] walk(s), Lidge!! Cards lose 4-2! :yahoo: Well hello 4.5 & 5.0 games, how you doin'!? :clapping:
  11. Excellent way to start the 9th, Lidge. Pujols on deck, to boot. [-(
  12. Can we somehow petition MLB to split the 3 best teams in the NL up? Put Milwaukee in the East and StL in the West. (Will most likely be StL), but its going to be real tough for the Central's 3rd place team at the end of the year. Good chance they'll be tied with the worst division winner, but will be left at home because of how the playoff system is set up.
  13. Pedro Feliz!! 4-2 Phils, going T9
  14. NBC Nightly News sometimes has a segment called "The Fleecing of America". Pittsburgh (Ramirez/2003 deals) and Oakland (Harden/Guadin) fans are going to want Hendry featured in "The Fleecing of MLB"! :good:
  15. Quote from BrewerFan.net (in reference to who we gave up for Harden/Gaudin); Uhhh... wha??
  16. 2nd & 3rd, no outs & bases loaded, 1 out. Guess how many runs the Phils pushed across vs Piniero and the Cards...... that's right. 0. ZERO. :banghead:
  17. Speaking of fatties, Burrell doubles to deep R-CF but Howard can't score on it. Guys on 2nd & 3rd, no outs for PHI in B2.
  18. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20080708&content_id=3091876&vkey=pr_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc Not that it needs to be made official, but just some help for those who have trouble getting it to sink in yet.
  19. Olney's right. We didn't match the CC/Brewers trade. We made a deal that was WAAAAAY better (assuming of course that Harden is, and remains, healthy).
  20. Part of me wonders if Jim didn't somehow know about the CC/Brewers deal, and let that come along, and then a couple days later drop the "We got Harden, cheaply!" bomb on them to show them that no matter how good they think they are - and deal they can make - the Cubs are still better and will make as good a deal or better to put Milwaukee back in their place. I know, it doesn't work that way... but this is a big :P at the Beermaker fans who though the acquisition made them the best team in the MLB.
  21. Harden is the best pitcher, yet has big injury concerns. When healthy he is the equal of CC Sabathia. So IOW, this is a potentially big "roll of the dice"? :beg: don't come up snake-eyes, Jim & Cubs!!!
  22. Ok, I'm dumb. Is Harden the best we could have got, especially at a steal of a deal like has been reported? If so, "Magic" Hendry did it again!! :yahoo:
  23. "... CC Sabathia Day here in Milwaukee." Are you effing kidding me?! Brewers announcers are worse than Jon & Joe, and that is saying something.
