I think he might do it with another Marquis performance. :lol: Not to defend him too much...but giving up a HR to Vlad isn't really something one has to be all that ashamed of...and Anderson is no Neifi Perez.... Every team has it's good players.

He's a different player then last year. I think Dusty/Clines encouraged his bad tendencies. Cedeno has the ability to be a very good player if someone pushes consistency on defense and patience at the plate. Cedeno was awesome for part of last year when he was consistently going to RF, racking up XBH. Then he started pulling everything (nice one, Clines!).

I posted yesterday that his velo was definitely down on the FB Morales cranked, which was high and on the inner half of the plate. That ball doesn't come close to being hit by Morales if it's in the 90's. Those gun readings definitely make sense (as opposed to Prior hitting 93 :lol: ).

And close examination of that quote seems to reveal that Z wasn't speaking in particulars. And it's been said several times in the media that Z's agent and Hendry have met, including once in Hendry's office. It was Cubs' officials that denied Z's claim that things were "close." That doesn't mean things aren't headed in the right direction.

Why is this so difficult to understand? It's just common courtesy to apologize after an accident. It has nothing to do with who is at fault.

Nothing has been reported? Hendry has met with Z's agent several times in the past week or so. No news is good news. Z seems optimistic.

3B is his best position. Don't remember him at SS this ST. He can play it though. His range might be a little suspect in fulltime SS duty, IMO.
