  1. Since when has Hideki Matsui been anything but excellent since coming over?
  2. We can't afford to have another right handed bat, dude.
  3. I love Murt too, but I don't see Fukudome as a "marginal" upgrade.
  4. But Greene's offense is far more valuable considering his position. I'm not advocating a Pie-Greene swap, but I see where Meph's coming from.
  5. And you thought Juan Pierre's offense was worthless in center.
  6. If you can get Roberts for that trio, you do it without a second thought. Agreed. Nothing wrong with that deal.
  7. That's out of context....Lou just really likes Christmas. Who doesn't?
  8. Has anyone besides me fallen for the last one? Someone admit it?
  9. If acquiring Figgins means giving up Aramis, and I think it does... no thanks.
  10. Not funny. ](*,) [-( Since nothing is happening in this thread, does someone want to explain why and from where Rick Roll originated? Anybody who falls for that one is pathetic. <---pathetic. :(
  11. Maybe it's going down and he needs more time to gather info? Or maybe he has obligations other then filling us in.
  12. Money shouldn't be the reason he wants to go to the Royals. We have to at least outbid them. If the White Sox blow him away with an offer (which, as I've said, I expect him to do), that's out of our control.
  13. Let's assume we get Fukudome and Roberts. Where's Mark DeRosa in this scenario, exactly?
  14. I'm sure Prior is thrilled at the idea of being reunited with Dusty.
  15. My money is officially on the White Sox. They'll will give him the money they were going to give Hunter.
  16. I had no idea who else to put at leadoff. Theriot? No. Soriano? I'd prefer him out of the leadoff spot. I guess you could go with a Fukudome-DeRosa 1-2 punch.
  17. Let's assume for the moment we get Fukudome. Where does he bat? 1st? 2nd? 5th? 6th? CF Pie RF Fukudome 1B Lee 3B Ramirez LF Soriano C Soto 2B DeRosa SS Theriot That seems to be the best available.
  18. As much as we don't like Hendry, I don't think he's a bottom 5 GM.
  19. I just want this to get resolved. I'm getting ancy. You could be in for a lot of anxiety. This could drag on for weeks. Will Kosuke visit the states and tour the various cities interested in him? I'm getting the impression this is going to be resolved by the end of the week. Maybe I'm wrong.

  21. Rotoworld has some new stuff... New York Newsday reports that Kosuke Fukudome "has narrowed his choices to the Royals and Cubs." Take the report with a grain of salt, because the Royals previously indicated that they weren't interested in Fukudome and the Padres reportedly offered him a three-year deal worth $10 million per season Tuesday. The one thing that seems certain is that the Cubs have remained heavily interested in Fukudome from Day 1. What an odd pair of teams to narrow it down to, if true.
  22. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AkeXgkCanSUYGZxidm.bQNcRvLYF?slug=updatesfromthewintermeet&prov=tsn&type=lgns I would love for them to have to give up anything significant for Joe Crede.
  23. I was really hoping to wake up to news of a Fukudome signing. Oh well.
