Oh, and welcome to the board. thanks! for the record, I think joe crede is a great ball player who is overrated by sox fans and underrated by cubs fans. he is one of the best defensive third basemen in the game, and we saw in '06 what he can do when healthy (30HR 90RBI, and was on pace for 40/100 through a good portion of the season) In 2006 his OPS was .829. Pretty good, yeah, but not "great." And he's never shown any indication that he can regularly achieve that kind of performance anyway. He's always been a pretty terrible hitter.
