  1. I'm not sure what Fuk is going to do, but Soto's going to break out of his slump in a big way.
  2. I really want Marmol to get a shot at starting.
  3. D-Lee is a hell of a lot slower than he used to be.
  4. So assuming we get out of this tied, is Marmol going to be used for a third day in a row? It wouldn't shock me.
  5. Your posts are perplexing to say the least.
  6. It wasn't all that bad all things considered. 4.1 IP, 4 ER, 5 H, 3 BB, 6 K. Yes, it was pretty bad. If this was a Marquis game, people would be roasting him. Or, to use fangraph, he lowered the Cubs' chances of winning by 14.4% points. Lets just ignore he pitched 3 days ago, or that hes only pitched 4 innings in a week. He was cruising untill the 5th inning, and honestly shouldnt be a surprise he started missing with his pitches. Excuses can be made for anyone. Performance counts. Did Sean Gallagher run over your cat?
  7. It wasn't all that bad all things considered.
  8. Johnson is quite good against left handers. A Pie/Johnson platoon makes a ton of sense, Lou just won't do it.
  9. Okay, seriously. Send him back down. This comeback story isn't cute, it's losing us baseball games.
  10. Marmol being unavailable today doesn't matter. This is probably what Lou would do if Carlos were available as well.
  11. It was a hanging slider. Of course, this is a day that will be impossible to hit a hanger out. Derrek Lee thinks otherwise. That was a fastball. You can still hit the fastball out, but when the wind is blowing this hard, a hanger usually won't have the necessary velocity to get thru the wind. I seriously doubt the 7 MPH difference is the difference between getting a HR and it being utterly impossible. It makes a much bigger difference than you'd think.
  12. Geo hasn't been hitting all that well lately.
  13. I thought that was going to be close to the line. Hm.
  14. Because it probably wouldn't have mattered? He walked one guy in the first inning.
