  1. I think it's becoming inevitable that he'll be gone, but I'm not sure why we should expect it to be soon. One positive way to look at this weekend is that the White Sox have continued to distance themselves from Cleveland. That's about the only positive, but it's a positive.
  2. Well, at least it looks like a win today will allow us to distance ourselves from Milwaukee, who I think all of us view as a bigger threat than the Cards.
  3. No, they almost definitely wouldn't. ummm yes they definately would you may be willing to support a cheater but a large portion of Cubs fans are older and they tend to not support a jerk and cheater like Bonds. Seriously people actually campaigning to get Bonds ... ugh I thought Cubs fans were better than this. I truly don't think I could make it through a game sitting next to someone who wants to win no matter what even if that means breaking every ethical and moral rule to do it. People like this supporter IU's hiring of Sampson because hey he might be a cheater but we'll win. The number of Cubs fans that would actually defect would be insignificant, if there were any besides you.
  4. Yeah, that's what I was going to say. I mean... really?
  5. I have a similar feeling and I'm not sure why. Either way, it's all on Marshall because I don't think we'll have trouble hitting Buehrle. If he can limit the Sox, we're going to win.
  6. No, they almost definitely wouldn't.
  7. Doesn't matter, we're not scoring. you should be able to make good use of the next 30-45 minutes since you can turn this one off Going to dinner right now actually. :)
  8. Should we reasonably expect Marmol to ever be good again?
  9. I have no reservations about saying "game over" for that.
  10. Now would be an excellent time for good Marmol to be in town.
  11. Keeping Gallagher in is more or less conceding the game.
  12. Are we going to get any runs the rest of the game?
  13. Mind explaining to me what kosuke did wrong there? Was it the horrible strike that he took for the first pitch or was it the pitch at his eyes he didn't actually swing at? Sorry, since Fox here in Dallas decided to switch the ---SOAPDROPPING--- Mets-Yankees game I've been stuck watching ESPN's GameCast. It showed a pitch right down the middle. To be clear, the soap dropping censorship is automatic right? So, I can type profanity and it'll get fixed automatically?
  14. This looks like a good inning to score some runs.
  15. Just got out of the shower and what do I come back to? More Sox baserunners, of course.
  16. This is going to be a really frustrating game when all is said and done.
  17. I'm almost positive his OBP against lefties is near .400.
  18. Crap! For some reason I thought Fontenot was running and that we'd score easily.
  19. Regardless of the fact that ERA is not much of a way to judge relievers, that bullpen ERA is astonishing.
  20. Not much hustle there. I think he could've made it to second with the way Dye stumbled.
  21. Oh man, I really thought Fontenot didn't have a beat on that.
