  1. Nice start! Derrek really is looking good lately.
  2. Despite his save total, Brian Wilson has been quite hittable this year. I'm just glad Cain's gone.
  3. A "not our game" moment if I've ever seen one.
  4. Inconsistent strikezone or not, Kosuke looks terrible.
  5. Oh good, more Matt Cain. Did Len just emphasize the word "able" when used in the same sentence with Cain? Because that would be slightly funny.
  6. I wouldn't mind seeing Marmol tonight.
  7. I've never been so happy to see Theriot batting.
  8. So, any chance the Giants might consider dealing Matt Cain? Eh eh?
  9. Obviously we haven't scored any runs, but have we even had any threats?
  10. Just got home to see this awful game. Are we gonna score?
  11. According to MLBTR, the other names tossed around in the Gammons article are Randy Wolf, Bronson Arroyo, Kevin Millwood, Aaron Cook, Rich Harden, and AJ Burnett.
  12. Omar has been among the worst regulars in baseball for some time now. I don't think he's as bad as someone like Pena but he's trying. His lines for the last two seasons... 2007: .246 .305 .316 2008: .156 .234 .180 Barf.
  13. I love how Geovany Soto was usually seen as the successor to Blanco and a guy who would backup Barrett.
  14. Can't wait till he makes it up the ladder to Iowa. I'd like to see this guy play.
  15. Where are you getting those numbers? Baseball Reference doesn't have ones that match up.
  16. Win #50 had to have come in mid to late July last year.
  17. I'm glad Woody is getting the kinks worked out tonight instead of with a lead.
  18. LOL Not in the CubsGM sense. In the "that was hilarious" sense.
  19. That might have brought him to 125 pitches. I'd hope Cubs fans would have learned their lesson about why that's a bad thing.
  20. That should be it for Ted. Take him out, Lou.
  21. Because international athletic celebrities might not be overly keen on keeping the press and the public appraised on every little thing about their family? Especially when said athlete lives in a 2nd world country where there may be a decent chance of someone pulling some shenanigans at the hospital. Or there could be some complications with the pregnancy and Ram wants to avoid the spotlight for this. No one actually knows what a 2nd world country is, or more accurately, what it was.
