    No, Messi will be playing. Argentina has to play with only two days rest - very unfair scheduling. Also, they have several players on yellows also. Kind of disliking that rule as the semis should feature teams at full strength. As far as Jones goes, just a really stupid move on his part. Can't blame the ref for his lack of composure.

    That's just lazy (or tired). The first problem there is that no one steps up while he is still outside the box. Absolutely drives me crazy when attackers are allowed to dribble straight down the middle into the box . . .

    haha, and now they have to play an ecuador team that is much better than Peru. Not having Yedlin is going to be a big problem.

    Didn't Coghlan have terrible starts his years with the Cubs too? I remember him being below .200 in June a couple years ago.

    Ah, I think you forgot they don't have a 1st or 2nd round pick this yr buddy lol. Only 8 picks in the first 10 rounds this time... Ha! Geez, I'll take it down to 4 college pitchers. Although, I could AMOST see them using every pick on pitching in this draft, especially with the large discrepancy in IFA between hitting and pitching. Still praying for a late Gutierrez(or Bolanos) signing somehow. Curious about the ratio of college to high school pitchers. Wouldn't the Cubs take a more high risk approach drafting in later rounds?

    Don't the yankees have a glut? Could Eovaldi be a reliever? I would put Strop there. I think you never trust your team's relievers as much as other team's but he's pretty reliable. One good thing is that the Cubs late inning guys are not being overused so far. Having three dominant one inning guys with the cubs offense and starters would seem pretty solid to me for the playoffs. I don't think I would trade Javy for Eovaldi.

    Isn't it just trade deadline? For me, I'd rather have another shutdown reliever than another starter. Someone that allows you to pull the starter after 6. I do believe Baez will be a late bloomer.

    no kidding. how about an actual major league hitter in that spot?

    I mean, he is going to hit like .275 with 12 homers and a .350 OPB. You are going to be incredibly frustrated by him if you concentrate so much on his offense. Still, I'd rather see Rizzo and Bryant get more plate appearances than Heyward. I am not sure I'm a fan of the lineup order.

    considering the year before last we spent almost 5 years being awful, that's probably not true without even looking it up that was a long year alright!
