  1. And yeah, definitely look at upgrading the shaft based on the data and go with it if it’s within the budget. It will make a difference. I got a whole new set of clubs ~18 months ago, Titleist TS3 drive and AP3 irons and the rep from Titleist who had me on track man recommended different shafts (project X on driver and Nippon N.S. Pro Modus 3 Tour on irons) over the stock ones. Definitely can see an improvement in my game and worth the up charge. Golf Galaxy or Golf Smith (always forget which one it is, one got bought out/merged/whatever by the other a few years back) offers the fitting services if you have one by you. Dick’s also might, from the chain store perspective. I’ve always gotten fitted through my course though. They bring in reps from whatever brands and have a track man+simulator to analyze and the pro knows his stuff too. So there’s a few ways to go depending on what you have around you. There is actually a pro shop about 40 minutes from me that has a great reputation for fitting. It's also pricey and crowded so I'm pretty reluctant to go over there. Nearest Golf Galaxy is even further. Having talked to the local pro, the reality is my swing is still evolving - I made major changes in the last few weeks so not sure a fitting now will be a big benefit down the road - not even sure I'll keep playing as much when I can return to other activities. So, not sure I'll go do a fitting right now. On the swing changes, I made huge strides on my long irons and fairway woods hitting them straight and upping my distance 10-20%. It's left a bit of a gap in my yardages as I try to catch up with the longer irons. There is something quite awesome about hitting a 4 wood 230 yards down the middle though it isn't actually useful that often.
  2. Keep the sound on - the announcer sounds like he is going to cry.
  3. What a bittersweet life. As the son of Argentine immigrants, Maradona was a hero for me in 1986 but sort of represents the end of naivete as he repeatedly fell from grace as I became an adult.
  4. oh, and Konrad got in as well!
  5. Sergi Roberto is out several months so should be plenty of PT available for Dest. First Barca goal - did he have a CL goal for Ajax?
  6. Thanks guys - I'll look into it.
  7. I need a new driver. What should I get under $400?
  8. David Silva is so good. He has transformed Real Sociedad in Spain (well, put them over the top anyway). I don't think City is going to run off any long streaks as they have hit the same wall as Barcelona. The injuries will continue to mount. I would say this season is hard to predict for all those reasons. Hard to watch Pulisic given that he never actually is healthy.
  9. the injuries have hurt him for sure. He needs to get into a good club situation but totally agree with your assessment. He is not in a good place positionally with this team either but is a good wildcard to have.
  10. https://www.espn.com/soccer/united-states-usa/story/4201745/usmnts-top-25-under-23-pulisicreynamckennie-among-list-of-youngsters-to-be-excited-about
  11. yea, gotta wonder if Low is on thin ice. or are they smart enough to stick with the rebuild? Spain looks to be re-loading in a faster paced setup.
  12. The US has two Barca players on its roster. Spain has 0
  13. What more should they be showing? I mean, bagging goals is a primary striker role. Hold up play can definitely improve but Soto is 18. Particularly if Musah comes over, the team has quite a few options running with the ball - Cannon looked good going forward and Dest was the most skilled player on the field. Obviously tough to judge against Panama, but I thought both 9s did well and looked like they had some promise.
  14. Fun game to watch - definitely great to see goals being scored and the team on the attack throughout. Tons of great line-breaking passes and running at the defense. Hoping Musah signs on . . . On the negative side, really let down at start of second half. The difference for me felt like they lost intensity and didn't play well as a team as opposed to prior teams who just didn't have the ability. Young, athletic, talented and a chip on their shoulder. fun to watch.
  15. Let them back into it a bit in the second half but ultimately the pressure won out. Need to go for jugular at start of second half. anyway, will be good to watch later!
  16. they seem to have a striker today. nice to take a concacaf team behind the woodshed even if it is a friendly in Austria.
  17. Tiger with 5 birdies and a par in his last 6 holes - nets +2 over last 7 holes . . .
  18. if you haven't seen this . . . "it is the best goal ever."
  19. I think they were upset on last second 3 by Northwestern State. Deon Thomas smiled.
  20. world class soccer players should be on break - not international break.
  21. if Musah comes over, that would be huge. Adams played today.
  22. Those are likely the two most impactful, but a solid sign for a handful of uncapped dual nationals for future depth(even if several aren't high risk). Soto, Gioacchini, Cardoso, Otasowie, Konrad. Also probably the end of the line for Aron Johannsson's lingering USMNT hopes if he can't make this camp in his current form. yea, I like seeing Soto in there also as well as Cardoso. Super excited about Musah though as that wasn't even remotely on my radar. Konrad and Chris Richards also there. Excited to watch this group.
  23. 10 uncapped players called up. Musah and Reyna the most significant? The other great news is that Pulisic injury is not serious.
  24. geez man, you should have thought of this before you had kids.
  25. terrible score yesterday but it was sunny and 75 on a Friday afternoon so it was great! A little warm today, might hit 77
