Because of Monday's rainout, Schilling will start the regular-season finale against Mike Mussina instead of Saturday's game against the Yankees. Wakefield will start on three days' rest on Saturday and face Randy Johnson. David Wells and Chien-Ming Wang will pitch Friday's series opener. ...
why did they take him out? they put a rookie in. dusty must be numb - especially if he read the article on ESPN about cox - everything dusty is supposed to be but isn't.
let me know if you can fix it tim - I don't know if I will have time before saturday because I am going out of country tomorrow (is Canada really out of country?)
Doesn't work with our division configuration. We could make the championship just one week but I like the two week system. I guess I could find another scheduling scheme (yuck the unbalanced schedule) and possibly eliminate the first week and all-star week as well.
you guys can sub those players particularly if you both agree on the issue. I hate that the championship is at a time of year when some great players are sitting but what can you do? What are you offering for Pronk? I hope to God the Cubs don't ever hire McKeon.
I would say that's pretty crappy pitching by both teams. I believe three other teams went over 350 last week interestingly enough. Guess you gotta get there before you can win! Good luck in week two.
hopefully the tryouts aren't anytime soon because that is going to be one soggy area. coming out to ski again this year? I was marginally offended you didn't call last year . . . :D
and better yet, notre dame lost! gotta like a season with Michigan, ND, Oklahoma, and auburn already out of the NC picture. of course, the writers will find some way to get ND back in the hunt . ..
Tim is correct in that I would like to strengthen the draft. Also, major league scoring is way down this year and I think that will be reflected in point totals.
Why recall him to sit on the bench while his team plays for the championship - I really have to believe the Cubs could have gotten by without him until Monday.
