  1. I don't think it rains that much in the summer either - less than Miami probably. How about the Portland Salmon?
  2. This is going to open up a whole other can of worms, but that's going to make Interleague Play difficult when it's division vs. division. Central and East would be perfect as each are at 5, but 6 vs. 4 would be hard to do. In the grand scheme of things, it's minor. But I think baseball would take it into consideration and make either the east or the central the 6-team division. I think this has been sufficiently screwed up already. They find a way for the Central to play the West so how would it be different? I'm all for Colorado joining the Central though!
  3. doesn't matter since its still 1st down. True but still it's not smart football. Add to that they now have 15 yards to rush for a firstdown. true. TB will get about a minute?
  4. He adjusts his hands, but there's no indication of it coming loose until way later. I disagree.
  5. doesn't matter since its still 1st down.
  6. no, you are seeing it biased =- the ball squirts up out of his arms on his first step.
  7. close call but I thought he juggled it.
  8. I saw that coming before he released the ball. That is a rookie mistake.
  9. anyone think announcers raving about too small running backs should review the all-time rushers list?
  10. wow, brunell sucks.
  11. 100 yards of offense and they might win.
  12. simms looks just like vince young.
  13. I don't see how either of these teams could score on the bears.
  14. There are people who believe Rollins is good. I used to be one of those people who believed Rollins wasn't good, but his VORP was just above Rafael Furcal's last year. Rollins is at least as good if not better than Tejada defensively. If Rollins were the Cubs' starting shortstop last year, we would have won about 4 more games. If Tejada had been playing SS, the Cubs would have won about 6 more games. Trading for Tejada makes a lot more sense for the Cubs than it does for the Phillies. If the Orioles could somehow get Abreu and Rollins, though... I should have said great. furcal is equally overrated.
  15. because your shoulder pads are 6 feet wide and won't fit through the hole.
  16. LOL, yeah he really restrained himself by jacking the Washington player in the helmet. I he really only half-slapped him and I think if someone spit in my face in the middle of a football playoff game, I would kick his ass. yea, I'd say that was restrained.
  17. great officiating and great job by the TB player to restrain himself.
  18. maybe the officials could hear what was said or maybe he spit?!?!? Wow, the officials were right. jackasses.
  19. seriously, I'm sick of hearing illinois fans complain. who frickin' cares? What the hecl happened to UK? Did all the freshmen figure it out at once?

  21. bruce miles reported it on this forum yesterday.
  22. probably better for everyone else that IU won. Road wins will be tough to come by and we don't need OSU getting one at IU.
  23. Some of you guys give these reporters FAR too much credibility. It's not about giving reporters more credibility than they deserve; rather, it's the likelihood of Neifi starting at 2B given: a) Hendry missed on Furcal, b) Walker is still on the block, and c) Dusty is still the manager. Just the same...far from any "confirmation". And how do we know that Walker is still on the block? Especially for a deal involving something other than another middle infielder in return? according to bruce miles walker will be still be traded.
  24. not as big of trouble as the cubs would be (offensively, at least). for one, the cubs have other potential big holes in the offense. an offense with jones, murton, cedeno, neifi AND blanco/mabry could be a HUGE disaster. if the mets lost beltran, they'd still have delgado, floyd, wright, etc. their lineup would suffer but not as bad as the cubs' would. secondly, the cubs backups at key spots aren't very good. the drop off from lee to mabry or barrett to blanco is gigantic. basically, this will be a terrible offense even without that injury.
  25. There are people who believe Rollins is good.
