  1. I should have picked more relievers.
  2. looking like a great day for OSU.
  3. dang, you were a little too late. you might be able to take over the team though.
  4. that team is going to get killed by my team! C Posada 1b Helton 2b Figgins/Castillo/Lowell SS Crosby 3b Lowell/Figgins OF Abreu OF Drew/Green OF Edmonds U Hafner SP Beckett SP Smoltz RP Isringhausen RP Foulke SP Sabathia SP Young SP Liriano SP Escobar meh, I don't know how to rate a team!
  5. if you forgot about Ricky, he was on 3rd or even home pretty quickly. There aren't too many guys like that around. In my opinion, pitchers need to learn to control runners in the minors. But the skill is probably largely ignored if pitchers get minor leaguers out. I don't want a pitcher to be trying to learn to hold a runner while facing Albert Pujols.
  6. I heard RJ buzzed Damon with a fastball in ST BP = hahaha!
  7. We should be getting back from NTC just before the Coors series, I'm hoping to get to go! It'll depend on my wife though, as she'll be about 8 months along at that time. I don't know if she'll let me sneak away for a day at that point. Yea, that could be tough - although you'll probably know if its about to happen. I could see not wanting to be too far away though. This your first? Yup...it'll be #1. congratulations!
  8. welcome vance - ok one more - you know you want to - draft in 49 minutes!
  9. one of you guys can run a yahoo team without too much effort! league id 126528 password cubs
  10. "you shall be the fourth simpson child and I will call you stitchface."
  11. Maybe if you are driving from Illinois to California, but most certainly not from LA to Chicago. mmm, if you speed enough you might make it - we got to denver from chicago in 14 and from here to vegas in 13 so that's 27 plus 3.5 or so . . .

  13. sure, if you're going shopping. I'm gonna have to defend bmkhawk. SBC is a really nice park. The view into the McCovey Cove is unbelievable. Yankee Stadium is also a nice stadium. Plus the aura of Yankee Stadium is unbelievable because of all the great players that have played there. Nothing against BMK - just that the advertising completely ruins the stadium for me. its disgusting. otherwise the park is great as long as you aren't freezing to death in the upper deck.
  14. The better rbi guy is probably going to be the guy with the higher SLP. It has an affect, but it's not great. A. Jones out-RBI'd Lee last year because of opportunities, and not a lot else. ramirez and lee are on the same team. furthermore, the better rbi guy will be the guy that cashes in more of his opportunities - hence the guy with the higher SLP. I see your point but that wasn't what I was saying.
  15. I don't think Atlanta is gonna be that good. They have a lot of questions. Can Chipper play 120 games? Can Andruw carry them again? Can they keep finding lightning in a bottle with guys like Langerhans, Laroche, McCann, and Sosa? How's the pitching without Mazzone? They'll still win the division (because it's a law or something), but I don't really see them as a 90+ win team. I really hope Chipper plays more than 120. He's a fun player to watch and one of the most consistent hitters in the game when healthy. They'll score enough and Hudson is a really, really good pitcher when he's not battling his obliques. or his control. teams that take pitches get to hudson.

  18. Coors has the same soundsystem problem but I love the park. there is nothing to like about minute maid, terrible playing field, terrible fans, terrible food, uncomfortable seats.
  19. That schedule pi$$es me off. Colorado Springs is going to Iowa, but they don't get to go the other way. I'd love to catch the I-Cubs here in Colorado. they don't have one series here? Weird.
  20. wanted for yahoo league - draft this weekend. ok, league id 126528 password cubs draft saturday afternoon
  21. If you can make it up for the series at Coors - I'll buy a round or two for you and your buds!
  22. they are working on being ready for ozzy
  23. maybe they could re-design him as a better hitter.
  24. Keep it coming! We all enjoy ND losing! :D I'm kidding (sort of) - I was shocked to see ND come back in this game.
