I wouldn't mind that thinking if they were debating on 2 good players. If the Cubs traded for Dontrelle over Clemens because Willis was a better hitter, then great. If the Cubs were deciding on Abreu or Giles and went with Bobby A's defense, then great. But this is Conine vs. Millar. That makes it worse. They know the offense needs help, but they seek out guys who can't hit. clemens is better than dontrelle.
